Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is looking for an energetic, meticulous and dedicated individual to work in a Anatomic Pathology. A qualified candidate will have a specialized theoretical understanding and practical application in all aspects of Histopathology to include tissue processing, sectioning of frozen and EM blocks, and tissue staining.
Responsibilities
* 70% - Tissue preparation for subsequent EM studies: embedding, ultra-microscopy sectioning and staining. Paraffin routine & frozen tissue preparation, embedding, and sectioning. Routine, SS (special), IF (immunofluorescence) and IHC/ISH tissue staining.
* 15% - Facilitates troubleshooting and resolution of routine technical issues. Effectively troubleshoots and maintains laboratory equipment, which includes all types of equipment. Position Summary
The Laboratory Coordinator I will serve as a key team member of the Fertility Center's Andrology Laboratory. In this role, the Laboratory Coordinator I can expect to learn about the functioning of a clinical fertility laboratory and expand their laboratory skillset through training in clinical laboratory and foundational andrology tasks. Key responsibilities will include procedure set up, media inventory management, preparation and cryopreservation of samples, daily quality control, data entry, and lab maintenance. Responsibilities
Core Duties
* Train under direct supervision to perform non-licensed andrology clinical laboratory tasks, including the following:
* Performing set-up tasks to prepare for procedures, such as labeling labware and preparing media.
* Initiating specimen chain of custody, documentation, and witness procedures.
* Preparing, facilitating analysis of, and cryopreserving patient and donor samples: prepare sperm for insemination, ICSI, and IUI; load semen sample into automated semen analysis machine; and cryopreserve client depositor patient samples.
* Perform TESE preparation, cryopreservation and thawing for use in treatment.
* Receive patient semen specimens produced offsite and prepare for treatment or cryopreservation.
* Providing patients instructions for onsite male specimen production and answering patient questions as appropriate.
* Performing media and stock inventory management.
* Contribute to the accurate documentation of patient and procedure data: collect patient data and prepare patient charts; enter procedure data into the electronic medical records (EMR).
* Maintain the laboratory through daily cleaning, clerical support, and inventory management such as delivering, unpacking, restocking, rotating, and organizing supplies, to ensure that the overall condition of the laboratory and [production room are clean according to regulatory and department standards. Notify management when supplies are low and need restocking and escalate any issues as appropriate.
* Perform laboratory maintenance tasks such as equipment maintenance, sterilization, quality assurance, quality control, and safety procedures.
* Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual quality control of laboratory equipment, maintain logbook with equipment performance data, and report values outside of tolerance range. Maintain accurate and complete QC forms and notify supervisor of any values outside of working range.

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented College Lab Technician to support Natural Science lab classes by designing, maintaining, and facilitating hands-on laboratory experiences for undergraduates. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and organizing labs for courses across various disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Environmental Sciences, Neurosciences, and Physics. Reporting to the Chair of the Humanities Department, the College Laboratory Technician in Theater will be responsible, but not limited to, the following duties:
+ Perform technical duties in support of coursework for on-campus theater courses including Stagecraft, Theater Production Workshop, Acting I & II, Directing or the Stage, and Introduction to Design for Theater.
+ Serve as the primary coordinator and supervisor for all Theater Program productions, overseeing logistics, scheduling, and technical execution from pre-production through closing.
+ Assist students with technical theater skills acquisition and other learning exercises.
+ Assist students with the use of theatrical equipment and shop materials.
+ Set-up, maintain, and organize Theater Program spaces including the Blackbox (a shared space only used 50% of the time), prop room, and control booth.

Students participate in classroom lectures, activities in the department's energized laboratory, and clinical experiences at affiliate hospitals. Learning approaches include the use of audio tapes, radiographic films, slides, computers, and laboratory assignments. Responsible for the production of these images and is an essential member of the health care team. The Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by The New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection, and The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
The Radiologic Technology Unit at Hostos Community College seeks applications for a College Laboratory Technician. The successful candidate will report directly to the Coordinator of the Radiologic Technology Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

The Radiologic Technology Unit at Hostos Community College seeks applications for a College Laboratory Technician. The successful candidate will report directly to the Coordinator of the Radiologic Technology Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Coordinates the physical preparation of the labs and provides one on one supervision of all students
