Part-Time Faculty, under the supervision of the Program and Associate Program Directors, has the responsibilities for the management and evaluation of the program's academic and clinical components. Working in close association with the Academic and Clinical Faculty, the faculty member will work twenty to thirty hours per week and have the following areas of responsibility:
Responsibilities
Teaching of First Year Students: Physical Diagnosis Lab Instructor, Correlative Medicine Instructor, Procedures Instructor, and lecturing in area of expertise.
Teaching Second Year Students: Senior Callbacks: Participation at Senior callbacks will be necessary including participation in student presentations and proctoring end-of-rotation examinations once every five weeks.
End-of-Rotation Examinations: Clinically relevant questions will be developed to maintain the test item banks utilized for the End-of-Rotation Examinations.
Clinical Skills Testing: Clinical skills testing scenarios will be developed and administered. This component may be performed on or off campus.
Committee Service:Will participate on appropriate committees (as schedule allows) as requested by the Program Director.
Participates in reaccreditation and program evaluation activities as deemed appropriate by the Program Director.

Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.

A Master's degree is required (or Master's degree eligible)

The Department of PhysicianAssistant Studies invites applications for a full-time faculty member to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This clinical-track position encompasses teaching, service, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to the department's mission of preparing competent, compassionate, and knowledgeable physicianassistants while complying with ARC-PA accreditation standards.

Teaching
Teach courses in the didactic phase of the program, including developing and delivering lectures, leading small group sessions, and facilitating active learning activities.
Develop and update course syllabi, learning objectives, and assessment tools in alignment with program goals, ARC-PA standards, and current evidence-based medicine.
Curriculum Development
Assist in designing and revising didactic and clinical curricula syllabi, learning objectives, and evaluation criteria to ensure alignment with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
Student Remediation and Advising
Monitor students' academic and clinical performance and implement remediation plans for those needing additional support.
Serve as a mentor for students navigating academic, clinical, and professional challenges.
Program Evaluation and Accreditation
Collaborate with the Chair/Program Director, faculty, and staff on collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data for continuous quality improvement and compliance with ARC-PA standards.
Participate in evaluations of institutional support, curriculum, resources, operational policies, and clinical site performance.
Identify program strengths and weaknesses and collaborate on actionable improvement plans.
Service
Actively contribute to departmental, school, and college committees.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications PA Candidates:
• Master's degree in PhysicianAssistant Studies or a related field.
• Current NCCPA certification and NYS licensure (or eligible) in the State of New York.
• At least three years of clinical experience as a practicing PA.

The Neuro-hospitalist hired to this position will be the attending on the Tulane-operated general neurology consulting service for 26 weeks each year (typically one week on service, one week off service). On off service weeks, the Neuro-hospitalist will assist two half days with the supervision of the neurology residents' outpatient clinics (primarily non-stroke hospital follow ups). Otherwise on the off-service weeks, the Neuro-hospitalist will have discretionary time to engage in administrative and scholarly activities. A team of Tulane neurologists will otherwise cover the 26 weeks when the Neuro-hospitalist is off service. The Hofstra Northwell Department of PhysicianAssistant Studies' mission is to create an interprofessional environment that fosters PA leaders and scholars who deliver empathetic, patient-centered care, and promote inclusivity to the diverse populations they serve.
Teaching Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provides dual-degree, didactic year, clinical year and/or research semester instruction. Courses in the PA program are offered, and required, during the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.
* Instructs and assesses students in courses such as physical examination and diagnostic modalities courses, correlative medicine, structure lab, simulation activities, and summative exams.
* Proctors examinations.
* Identification of students with performance deficiencies and development of strategies to address deficiencies including remediation exercises.
* Act as a liaison to core faculty for college resources, textbooks, and teaching materials.
* Updates instructional materials on learning management systems (i.e. Canvas). Assures course materials are posted.
* Will be responsible for the coordination of selected courses:
o Monitoring and revision of syllabi
o Coordination of instructional sessions.
o Creates, updates, changes, distributes, monitors, and grades student assignments and assessments.
o Develop instruments to monitor overall efficacy of didactic courses:
Testing instruments reflecting course objectives
Validation and standardization of testing instruments
Curriculum adherence to national and state accreditation requirements
* Other related responsibilities as determined by the program director.
Faculty Program Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Participate in program committees.
* Active participation in School of Nursing and PhysicianAssistant Studies governance.
* Develop scholarly projects.
* Participate in faculty development and in the PhysicianAssistant Education Association
* Represent the PA Department in University-wide and community admissions events and other activities as required.
* Serve as a reviewer and evaluator in the selection of applicants as a member of the program's Admission Committee.
* Provide academic counseling to students.
* Participate in curriculum development, design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the program.
* Assure availability of remediation.
* Actively participates in:
o The development, review, and revision of the program mission.
o The development, review, and revision of program goals and competencies.
o Supporting student performance.

* Attends, participates in, and prepares for all student orientation sessions.

The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance (HSHP) at Ithaca College, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor, PhysicianAssistant Studies. Ithaca College seeks strong clinicians, collaborators, and interprofessional education advocates committed to advancing PA education to join the faculty team for its PhysicianAssistant Studies graduate program. We welcome clinicians new to academia and provide support to develop teaching skills through our Center for Faculty Excellence. We also welcome clinicians with experience and/or interest in assessment or curricular development/design. This is a full-time 12-month, multi-year renewable notice (non-tenure) position in person in Ithaca, NY. There are multiple Clinical Assistant Professor positions available.
The successful candidate will teach in our didactic curriculum, and we welcome expertise in a wide variety of clinical and scholarship areas, experience with clinical simulation, and/or interprofessional approaches to practice and education are encouraged to apply. All Ithaca College faculty are required to advise students as a component of teaching duties. The selected candidate will be provided with reassigned time from teaching to pursue a scholarly research agenda or clinical practice activities. The successful candidate would also be expected to participate in service to the program, school, and college.
