    Remote tow truck dispatcher job

    Velocity is seeking to hire Dispatchers to act as a communication point for our Velocity Field Technicians and customers. The Dispatch Coordinators receive requests, transmit messages and schedule technicians from the Velocity database to customer sites. This position involves verifying arrivals, negotiating pricing with technicians, and following up on scheduled appointments. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in challenging situations. Ideal candidates also will be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. This role requires onsite training at our Holland, OH office location. Training will take place Monday through Friday from 9am-5:30pm EST. Upon completion of training, ideal candidates must be able to work the following shifts listed below: * Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4:30pm EST * Tuesday-Saturday 9am-530pm EST * Sunday-Thursday 9am-5:30pm EST * Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm EST All Candidates can work remotely on the weekends. As a Dispatcher with Velocity, expect to: * Dispatch jobs sent to us from our customers to the technicians in our database. * Schedule appointments for the jobs with the technicians. * Work with customers to gain access to job sites as required. * Verify the technicians are not missing their appointments. * Recruit technicians for current and/or future jobs. * Coordinate getting "special" equipment to job sites for technicians to use.
