Summary The Structural Engineering Associate performs structural analyses of all levels of complexity on existing communication structures (including towers, water tanks, platforms, mounts, billboards, rooftop structures, and their respective foundations) and prepares formal, written reports detailing the capacities and recommendations for modifications needed to bring the structure into compliance with the applicable code. The incumbent may review new tower designs, design tower foundations, and design basic-to-complex modifications to existing structures and foundations. The incumbent may also provide quality control review of engineering services performed by other engineers. This position also requires the performance of inspections related field work. The incumbent will perform climbed inspections of existing communications structures for the purpose of documenting current conditions through photographs, measurements, and notes.
