Ability to travel up to five days a week. Must have a labor-intensive attitude and be capable of climbing towers, water tanks or rooftops, and the physical ability and willingness to scan, probe, dig and drill to obtain foundation dimensions and steel reinforcement on guyed, SST, and Monopole Towers Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner. Adhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.) Office Duties (20- 30% of work time): Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work. Review peer work product. Qualifications: One year general construction experience preferred but not required; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented. Essential Functions Review building structures for compliance with current standards and building codes Work with existing processes to correctly open analysis projects Design modifications to existing structures Work with Designer staff on the development of modification drawings Generate required engineering reports Review Quality Assurance (QA) and final review on structural analysis reports and designs Answer structure-related inquiries from internal and external customers Keep abreast of new technical methods and development related to structural engineering Provide assistance on unusual problems Physical Demands This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. While performing the external job duties, the employee is regularly required to be at site locations both on the ground and on building roof tops, sit, stand, walk, use both hands, and reach and raise items above the head, use fingers to feel and handle, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 35 pounds. Work Environment Most work in performed in climate-controlled internal office environment worked under normal office conditions. Less than 5% of work is performed externally, on-site, outdoors, with exposure to the elements of nature.
