The Compactor Technician should be a motivated worker with welding/fabrication and basic hydraulic background experience. The CMMS Technician plays an important role in managing our new state-of-art Headquarters building. Working alongside the maintenance supervisors, engineers, and coordinating with outside vendors, this position is responsible for all activities related to managing work orders, maintenance plans and building asset management. Gather necessary support equipment for testing (Controllers, Accelerometers, Fixtures)
Program Vibration profiles to run tests and record required data
Have familiarity with test standards (MIL 810, etc.)
Maintain logbook documentation throughout testing, including detailed notes about anomalies
Communicate with the Test Engineer about progress, test anomalies, and other issues
Support Customers
Help customers locate and set up test equipment
Help customers understand the type of testing being performed (when necessary)
Supply customers with missing items (tools, hardware, etc.)
Help customers navigate the lab and surrounding areas
Keep a positive attitude under stress
Maintain & Repair Equipment
Understand basic operation of equipment used (shakers, controllers, etc.)
Troubleshoot/Identify problems with equipment
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance
Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship
Must be eligible to obtain a Government/Department of Defense Security Clearance
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Must have basic hand tools such as Allen keys, wrenches, sockets, etc.
Must be hands-on with the ability to foresee potential problems and find solutions in a timely fashion
Team player with the ability to work independently when needed
Must follow written procedures
Must keep work areas clean and organized
Must be proactive and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in vibration and shock testing
Ability to understand the different types of sensors and how to read the outputs of those sensors, including IEPE, Charge, Strain, and other sensors
Data acquisition background
Ability to understand the feedback system of shaker control and where potential issues may arise
