In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of service-related functions, including the repair, maintenance, and performance verification of assigned products, including demo equipment and instruments returned from customers. JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Provide daily repair and maintenance support for assigned products, including installations. Conduct in-house bench repairs and onsite customer repairs as needed while primarily handling field service calls with limited supervision. Travel within the local region (including day and overnight trips) to support customer needs. Offer technical support via phone to customers and field personnel regarding repairs, maintenance and installations. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology; a bachelor's degree is preferred. At least four years of experience in repairing analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, LCMS, AA, or similar instruments. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of these technologies. After one year of employment, you will also be eligible for a generous short-term disability program with the company covering 100% of monthly premiums. Additional variable compensation includes an incentive plan (10% of base salary) based on company and service performance, paid semi-annually in April and October. What You'll Do: Perform quality control testing on aggregates produced at various sites, to defined specifications including moisture content, minus #200 sieve and gradations of those materials, to ensure proper quality control. Record and communicate test results to Operations and Quality Control Manager, to ensure consistency and quality control specifications are adhered to. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Travel to multiple sites within assigned region conduct sample collection and site inspections. Responsible for sampling and testing raw materials ensuring specification compliance. Record and report test results, collaborating leadership and operations staff. Maintain a “daily journal” and providing “Laboratory sample reports” for each sample as appropriate. Responsible to maintaining testing equipment, including cleaning and proper calibration according to standards. Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, Technical School graduate or bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in the construction industry a plus; knowledge and ability to discuss technical and logistical aspects of aggregate quality, production and delivery is desirable. Proficient understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency speaking English; ability to write and communicate clearly. Ability to use a scientific calculator. Ability to make quick and logical decisions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must maintain a valid driver's license. MNDOT Aggregate Production I preferred. WisDOT Aggregate Technician I preferred. MSHA New Miner Training will be provided upon hire.
