Job Summary: As a TowerTechnician - Top Hand you will play a crucial role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of rigging equipment on communication towers. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the success of our projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assembling/erecting various tower types, including self-support, monopoles, guyed towers, etc.
Reading construction documents, clearly explaining tasks, and delegating tasks to crews are necessary to perform installations per all customer requirements.
Installing antennas, coax, fiber optic cables, DC power, AC power, etc, at elevated heights of over 100 feet.
Proficiency in rigging techniques is highly desirable.
Willingness to learn and adhere to climbing, rigging, safety, and company procedures.
Comfortable working at significant heights.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Punctual and consistent attendance in accordance with the work schedule.
Proficient in installation techniques of ground kits, cables, connectors, weatherproofing, antennas, and all associated materials and equipment.
Identify and work with all required materials, tools and equipment needed to complete assigned work.
Assist Crew Foreman with execution of all manner of site related duties/responsibilities, including Close-out documentation.
Education and Experience:
High school graduate
2-3 years of tower industry experience
Physical Requirements:
Physical agility, including the ability to bend, kneel, climb, and squat, with a full range of motion.
Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Comfortable working at significant heights.

The Role
* Complete installation, repairs and testing of fiber and the different components
* Splice loose tube and ribbon fiber in compliance with modern standards
* Connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems

* Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation

* Frequently works with minimal or no supervision

Requirements
* 3+ years of fiber splicing experience required
* Ability to use and understand splicing technology such as OTDRs, VFL, OLTS and Fusion Splice
* Prior experience with CWDM and DWDM, prepping & splicing from 6ct to 288ct or more
* Ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons
* Ability to safely operate a vehicle while pulling a trailer
* Ability to complete tasks with small components and wires
* Ability to judge distance and space relationships
* Ability to interpret splicing print and distinguish/apply color code to print reading
* Ability to use specialty tools
* Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Maintain a safe environment through correct implementation of safety policies and procedures
Conduct daily walk-through of facility to assess building systems and fitness equipment for proper condition. Performs required repairs or maintenance in a timely manner
Work closely, meet daily, and (when possible) walk the Club with the General Manager (GM) to align and prioritize daily & weekly repair & maintenance tasks
Provide repair vs. replacement recommendations to the General Manager
Perform repairs & maintenance on fitness equipment, plumbing, electrical, pool, steam, sauna, and mechanical systems, along with cosmetic repairs including but not limited to drywall, texture, paint, tile, & grout
Partner with General Manager to adhere to budget policies for repairs & maintenance
Order parts as needed through online resources, internal requisition system, or locally as approved (per company policy), communicating to GM & Support Center leadership
Support capital repair & improvement projects in partnership with the Director of Facilities, Construction Team and Area Facilities Manager
Track and manage all work orders through the computerized maintenance management system, and notes amenities down and/or repairs in progress, delayed, and/or completed
Maintain In-Shape & OSHA safety standards and protocols at Club and performs checks as required
Perform work after hours and weekends as directed
Support emergency response (triage) efforts for the repairs of our buildings, building systems, equipment, and properties (as permitted)
Act as the on-site point of contact for outside service providers and third-party vendors
Ensure compliance of City, County, State ordinances and codes
Assist in building our In-Shape community of members through a consistent member experience
Attend In-Shape team meetings and trainings as required

Possess knowledge of and have experience with managing and/or repairing mechanical, plumbing, & electrical systems, experience with trade work, fitness equipment, or CPO training, a plus
