May supervise others. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3 - 5 years of related telecommunications experience. Well-versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs, and fiber power meters. In-depth knowledge of TDM networks Ability to work with power tools and ladders Ability to work well with others and communicate with supervisors Computer literate with basic Networking Skills Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned Participates in special projects as required Ability to work well with others and communicate with supervisors. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with personnel of various expertise levels Solid Customer Support Skills in a high-visibility environment Problem analysis and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy. Physical Demands Walking long distances for long periods of time, lifting material up to 50 pounds, loading equipment onto carts or shelves, moving equipment to work locations, unloading equipment, mounting equipment into racks, and trash removal. Responsibilities Accurately apply printed or pre-assigned labels to both ends of fiber and Cat6 cables. Package cables by job, rack, or zone according to project plans or pick lists. Sort and stage completed bundles for shipment or deployment.
