The Rail Technician will provide rail and technical services for our transportation and commercial clients. This includes service of freight, commuter and transit lifting equipment for railcar and locomotive applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Provide rail and technical services for our transportation clients. This will include hands-on transportation repairs, supervision of site personnel and contractors.
Hands-on repairs and supervision of site personnel.
Providing customer support for transportation parts and installation orders
Assists engineers in developing transportation project drawings and technical reports
Preparing required reports and administrative paperwork
Accompanying rail sales personnel for occasional calls and follow-ups
Regular travel required
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams
Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems a plus
Prior transportation installation and repair experience preferred
Frequent travel within a 4-hour radius required.
Occasional overnight travel outside of the region may be required.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Strong communication skills
HS diploma or GED required

Execute OTDR/OLTS testing to assess cable performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve live network fiber issues.
Produce FastReporter reports for test and splicing documentation.
Operate Fujikura splicers and EXFO testers for low-loss splices and diagnostics.
Pull fiber cables through conduits/ducts for installations.
Support cabinet bolting and basket tray installation (preferred).
Safely operate scissor lifts for elevated work (preferred).

Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)

Responsibilities
* Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
* Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order
* Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
* Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
* Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures
Qualifications
* Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
* Registry eligible or Registered Radiologic Technologist; and maintain active registry status.
* Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice
* Participates in professional society (i.e., ISRT or SCD)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing body is American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
* Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
* Valid Driver's/Chauffeurs License required, must meet MercyOne's Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to drive per Iowa state law
