RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

+ Basic Diesel Engine experience.

+ Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation.
QUALIFICATIONS
CDL would be nice but is not required for this position, Tech must have a great attitude and be a great team player.

SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
2. Completes the "make-ready" process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the pre-move-out inspection, creating a "punch" list of maintenance work needed, scheduling vendors and contractors as needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, completing all maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.
3. Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and other items from the property's maintenance department by tracking inventory used, returning unused items to the established location, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
4. Completes documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion so that service requests can be appropriately documented and tracked.
5. Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
6. Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, not being wasteful with materials and supplies, and practicing the correct use for tools and equipment.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Complies with Greystar's safety and risk-management policies by attending and participating in the property's routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.

You're Excited About This Role Because You Will:
Travel to various communities in the Mark-Taylor Portfolio, providing assistance as needed.
Support the Renovation Project Manager across multiple renovation projects and unit scopes.
Perform electrical work, including installing ceiling fans, puck lights, pendant lights, and vanity lighting.
Perform plumbing work, including faucets, garbage disposals, P-traps, and replacing angle stops.
Install, adjust, and align cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and cabinet hardware to ensure proper fit and finish.
Perform light paint touch-ups and minor drywall repairs, including patching, sanding, and surface preparation.
Install, replace, and adjust door hardware, locks, latches, hinges, and handles.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor renovation related issues across electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, and finishes.
Work across multiple units simultaneously while meeting renovation timelines and quality standards.
Coordinate with vendors and onsite teams to support renovation schedules and unit access.
Identify potential issues, scope gaps, or quality concerns and communicate them to the Renovation Project Manager.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all job sites.
Follow all Mark-Taylor policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety standards.

High school diploma or GED required.
Multifamily renovation or technician experience required.
Previous experience in remodeling or unit turns is preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple units and priorities.
Strong knowledge of light electrical and plumbing troubleshooting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire (provided by Mark-Taylor).
Basic computer skills, including email, shared files, and basic Excel familiarity.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors, community staff, and project leadership.
Willingness to travel to multiple communities within the portfolio.
