Tri-City Group is seeking experienced and motivated Structured Cabling Technicians to join our team for large-scale data center buildouts in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role involves involves the installation of category-rated cabling, fiber optic cabling and splicing, cabinet and IT room infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Install and terminate Category 6, 6A, and fiber optic cabling systems. Build out cable pathways, including ladder racks, J-hooks, and cable tray. Construct and configure IT rooms, including racks, patch panels, and cable management. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. Operate lifts and climb ladders safely to perform overhead work. Perform repetitive lifting of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Qualifications: Formal training or certification in structured cabling installation. Certifications include: IBEW JATC Apprenticeship Completion, BICSI Technician, BICSI Installer, and/or professional training/certificate at an accredited school. Field experience of 1yr to 2yrs full time in this industry. Proven experience in data center or commercial cabling projects. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Ability to work 50-60 hours per week for the duration of the project.
