Role Summary
The Service Training Technician will play a key role in supporting the deployment and servicing of ComfortDry and PrecisionDry systems. This position involves developing training materials, conducting webinars and in-person sessions, providing field service and commissioning support, and contributing to product quality reviews. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong communication skills and a passion for educating others.
Key Responsibilities
Create technical training tools, manuals, and videos for ComfortDry and PrecisionDry systems.
Conduct live webinars and in-person training sessions for contractors, service technicians, and sales partners.
Develop certification programs and onboarding materials for new service personnel.
Provide on-site support for system commissioning, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Assist with installation verification and performance validation.
Serve as a technical resource for regional sales managers and external service teams.
Participate in product quality reviews and provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams.
Document field issues and recommend design or process improvements.
Support warranty evaluations and root cause analysis.
Travel approximately 50% of the time to customer sites, training events, and trade shows.
Build strong relationships with service partners and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Represent NovelAire professionally in all field interactions.
Required Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HVAC Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field experience.
3+ years of experience in HVAC service, technical training, or field commissioning.
Strong understanding of dehumidification systems, HVAC controls, and air distribution.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools, and basic graphic editing software.
Ability to travel frequently and work independently in the field.
Preferred Skills
Experience with desiccant-based systems and energy recovery technologies.

What you'll do…
We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful Microgrid Mechanical Technician to assume responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing maintenance on power generation equipment with operations experience as a plus. The Microgrid Mechanical Technician will coordinate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) to ensure Enchanted Rock can meet customer requirements for on demand electricity. Operations for this position are east of Beaumont, TX covering through Lake Charles, LA.
You'll make an impact by:
Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment.
Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.
Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.
Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks.
Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.
Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.
Utilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research.
Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards.

* Certified to Level II in a minimum of one methods (UTPA, Cr, DR, ET)
* Ability to work in Microsoft Word
* Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment
* Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English

Work Conditions
* Position is based out of a branch or site location.
* Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere
* Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel
* Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
* Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
* May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes
* May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis
Physical and Mental Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
* Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties
