Key Responsibilities
Installation & Cabling Work
Install, terminate, and test copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling systems.
Pull, label, route, and dress cables in commercial, industrial, and data center environments.
Install cable trays, J-hooks, ladder racks, racks, patch panels, and related infrastructure hardware.
Perform fiber splicing, connector installation, and end-to-end certification.
Install network equipment including switches, wireless access points, and telecom room hardware as directed.
Testing & Troubleshooting
Conduct continuity, performance, and certification testing using Fluke or similar testers.
Diagnose and resolve cable faults, signal loss, and connection issues.
Perform repairs and upgrades to existing cabling systems with minimal downtime.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete detailed daily job reports, cable logs, labeling documentation, and test results.
Ensure all cabling meets BICSI, NEC, and manufacturer standards.
Qualifications
1-3+ years of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience preferred.
Knowledge of copper and fiber standards, cabling best practices, and industry tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cable layouts.
Experience with cable testing equipment (Fluke DSX, OTDR, light meters).
Familiarity with LOTO, ladder safety, PPE, confined spaces, and general construction safety.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and work in overhead or crawl spaces.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Tower Technician (Level I, II, III) Location: Travel-based (3-6 weeks away from home) | Schedule: M-F, weekends/overtime as needed | Hours: 40-60/week

POSITION SUMMARY
The Tower Technician is responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining wireless communications infrastructure on cell sites and towers. This role is physically demanding and safety/quality-critical, requiring technical skills, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Tower Tech Levels I-III are offered based on experience, assessed during the interview.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, upgrade, and maintain wireless systems on towers, rooftops, and poles
Read and interpret scopes of work, structural analysis, and construction drawings
Participate in safety meetings, job planning, and reporting
Identify and mitigate on-site safety hazards
Ensure all work meets project quality standards and timelines
Use testing tools (e.g., PIM, Anritsu, OTDR) for troubleshooting and integration
Complete daily reports, timecards, expenses, and close-out documentation
Maintain company equipment, tools, and vehicles
Support accident/incident reporting and corrective actions

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Proficient with hand/power tools and antenna alignment tools
Certified in OSHA 10, RF Awareness, CPR/First Aid, Comtrain (or equivalent), NWSA TT1 or TT2
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Able to travel for extended periods (3-6 weeks at a time)
Use of PPE, full climbing gear, boots, and basic hand tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer literacy for time tracking and reporting, including GPS enabled time-card system
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with all major carriers (AT&T, Verizon. T-Mobile)
Skilled in rigging procedures and operating of heavy equipment (lift, trailer, etc.)
Skilled with test equipment: Anritsu, OTDR, PIM, ODM
Able to read construction documents and understand structural analysis
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb towers up to 500 feet
Lift and carry 70 lbs or more
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Work long shifts, including night work
Must pass regular drug screening

Troubleshoot (sweep & PIM testing, fiber testing)
