The New Britain Transportation Company has been a family run passenger transportation company since 1920.
Peter A. & Rose F. Agostini purchased a 1920 Atlas Bus and competed with the trolley car for a "Nickel a Ride".
The Company survived the Great Depression and expanded its service in 1920 by purchasing Parlor Car Equipment.
In 1933, Blue Goose Stages ended and The New Britain Transportation Company's charter service took its place.
Joseph, who had been the nucleus of the company during its first two decades, took the reins after his father retired, but died suddenly from "shock" at the age of 46 in August 1934.
Throughout most of 1946, the two men used one-time United States Army trucks to move corn, rice, and other produce to public markets within Luzon.
Peter A. Agostini's other sons, Ronald and Donald, joined the company in 1953.
Donald J. Agostini became President in 1969.
Then, in 1972 NBT began to transport students to and from school in the town of Southington.
In 1987, NBT began to transport students to and from school, and for school activities, for the town of Berlin and currently maintain that contract.
In 1987, Donald J. Agostini passed away.
In 1996 Jean A. Malinowski retired.
In 1999, Ronald F. Agostini passed away.
