POSITION SUMMARY
Transport guests to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle. Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. Park vehicle in designated location when not in use. Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; exchange information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email). Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog). Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The CDL Shuttle Driver, under the general supervision of the Shuttle Supervisor, provides safe and courteous and on-time transportation to resort guests and staff to and from fixed shuttle stops both on resort and off, during a scheduled shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
Must be able to communicate by radio and/or cell telephone.
Must be able to provide verbal and/or written reports and respond to operational issues per prescribed policy.
Must have a clean driving record and a valid Vermont Commercial Driver License, Class C with a Passenger Endorsement.
Drivers are subject to random DOT drug and alcohol testing and must have a valid license and DOT medical examiners card at the time of hire.
Must undergo and successfully pass an annual DOT medical examination.
Must be able to perform pre-and-post-trip vehicle inspections, cleaning and servicing to assist in maintaining vehicles in a safe operating condition.
Must be able to follow an on demand schedule of pick-ups and drop-offs on resort as well as at transportation hubs and terminals.
Must follow a schedule of pick-ups and drop-offs at on resort designated stops as well as all guest hotel, condominium, town home or cottage locations as well as off resort locations designated for employee pick-up and drop off.
Must adhere to traffic regulations, collect fares and provide verbal information to the public regarding routes, schedules and transfer points.
Must be willing to greet every customer in a friendly, professional manner.
Must have or be willing to develop a working knowledge of the history and amenities Jay Peak Resort and regional points of interest in the US and Canada.
Must be flexible with work shifts/hours, including overtime, to service late departs and arrivals, peak volume periods, vacated shifts, and other emergency situations.
Must follow all Jay Peak, Inc. work rules and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook and through management's instruction.

Principle Purpose of Job
We are seeking a Shuttle Driver to join our team. The primary duty of the Shuttle Driver is to assist the Housing Manager in providing a consistent, timely, and first-class shuttle service for our guests and employees. In addition, assist with the cleaning and upkeep of common areas at Devil's Thumb Ranch and preparing Employee Housing rooms for new employee arrival.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport guests and employees safely and punctually to their destinations using Ranch vehicles.
Assist the Housing Manager in maintaining a clean and functional housing environment for staff, including preparing rooms for new arrivals.
Conduct routine checks and light maintenance of shuttle vehicles to ensure optimal safety and performance.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas across the property.
Respond promptly and courteously to transportation requests or other assistance needs from guests or staff.
Exhibit knowledge of the Ranch's layout, events, and services to assist guests and employees effectively.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all Ranch residents and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Previous experience as a shuttle driver, or in a similar role, is preferred.
