    Job Description Toyoda Gosei is looking for a top-notch Internal Logistics Supervisor for our San Antonio, TX manufacturing plant. The individual in this role plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the automotive manufacturing facility. This position oversees the movement of parts, components, and assemblies between warehouse, production lines, and staging areas, ensuring just-in-time (JIT) delivery and alignment with lean manufacturing principles. The supervisor leads a team responsible for internal transport, inventory accuracy, and material handling, supporting high-volume, fast-paced automotive production. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Coordination: * Supervise and schedule internal logistics staff including forklift operators, tugger drivers, and material handlers. * Ensure team adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. * Material Flow & Line Feeding : * Manage the timely delivery of automotive components to production lines. * Coordinate with production planners to support takt time and avoid line stoppages. Inventory & Systems Management: * Maintain accurate inventory levels using automotive ERP systems * Support barcode scanning, Kanban systems, and electronic tracking of material movements. Process Optimization: * Implement lean logistics strategies to reduce waste and improve flow. * Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize layout and material routes. Safety & Compliance: * Enforce safety protocols for material handling equipment and traffic flow within the plant. * Conduct regular safety audits and training in compliance with OSHA and automotive industry standards. Reporting & Metrics: * Track and report KPIs such as delivery accuracy, inventory discrepancies, and downtime due to material shortages. * Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for logistics-related issues. Qualifications: * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred) or applicable work experience. * 5+ years of experience in internal logistics or materials management in an automotive manufacturing environment. * Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, JIT, and automotive production systems. * Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management tools. * Forklift and tugger certification (preferred). * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in contributing to cross-functional team meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
