Summary/Objective: The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a manufacturing department, ensuring that operations meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Ensure all manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Actively manage safety programs to integrate safety measures into daily operations and maintain strict compliance with regulatory requirements with a continuous improvement mindset. Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, retain and develop a diverse team by fostering an environment of trust and collaboration. Implement training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team capabilities and performance. Provide coaching and development, make employment decisions, and resolve issues through effective problem resolution. Performance Management: Monitor and review performance metrics regularly, holding the team accountable for meeting targets. Lead effective team meetings and use visual management tools to drive decision-making and improvements. Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to the manager. Determine root cause for failed metrics and work collaboratively to implement corrective action plans. Strategic Operations: Work closely with the General Manager and other senior leaders to align manufacturing strategies with the company's overall objectives. Utilize problem-solving tools and techniques to address operational challenges and enhance outcomes. Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in community service projects and maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders, including operations, sales teams, and external partners, to optimize material usage and operational improvements. Working Conditions: * While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. * Working indoors, office environment at times * May stand/walk for several hours at a time * Exposure to computer screens.     The CNC Programmer - Wire EDM Operator is responsible for setting up and operating wire EDM machines to cut materials that conduct electricity according to specifications and tooling instructions. This role requires proficiency in programming, blueprint reading, and machining methods to ensure high-quality precision work. Key Responsibilities: Receive blueprints from die makers and program (and store) data on HP Apollo 735. Check size and grade of material before setup on the machine. Retrieve programs from the CAD system using a personal computer. Run programs and edit them as needed. Check parts prior to release from setup. Reset parts if necessary. Release parts to die makers for finishing work. If a job is a repair, release the part to the inspector for CMM validation. Perform other customer-driven or product-driven duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a tool room or CNC programming. Essential Skills: Basic metallurgy. Blueprint reading. Die theory. Knowledge of manufacturing processes at an overview level. Machining proficiency. Strong mathematical aptitude, including geometry and trigonometry. Use of precision measuring instruments to maintain close tolerances. Computer background. Capabilities: Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Mechanical aptitude. Strong organizational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Physical Requirements: Lifting: Medium (20-50 pounds occasionally) and/or 5-25 pounds frequently.
