Founded in 2001 to make it easier and less expensive to reduce the risk of bribery, TRACE is widely recognized for establishing compliance standards and advancing commercial transparency worldwide.

Michael has a Masters in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management (Manila) and was granted the Chevening Fellowship by the British Government in 2010.
She frequently participates on the B20 Taskforce on Anti-Corruption, drafting recommendations to G20 leaders to consider in their global economic policies, and was a member of FIFA’s failed Independent Governance Committee until her resignation in 2013.
Zaira joined TRACE in 2015 as a Due Diligence Associate.
The Trace Center moved to the University of Maryland in 2016, joining the College of Information Studies, and broadening its research and development work through new partnerships and collaborations.
Bapsy joined VFS Global in 2020, where she leads the integrated compliance, legal and risk team.
In 2021, the Trace Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
