DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive and operate a minimum of two types of heavy equipment including but not limited to 50/70 Barrel Vacuum and Single Roll-Off Trucks.
Make deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
Prepare Haz-Mat & Non-Haz manifests.
Maintain full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, daily ELD logs, timesheets and vehicle inspection reports.
Perform simple maintenance and cleaning of response vehicle and assigned truck.
Perform various housekeeping and custodial duties as required.
Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled stand-by.
Work long hours and overtime, including days, nights or weekend shifts.
Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
Current Class B Commercial Driver License, required. Class A preferred.
Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required within 90 days of hire.
40-hour HAZWOPER required. Company paid training available.
2 - 5 years of experience in heavy equipment driving and operation required.

Able to operate heavy oversized loads safely through various types of terrain.

Responsibilities

+ Safely operate transport vehicle.
+ Ensuring vehicle meets all Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and company standards.
+ Understanding of load and freight weight requirements.
+ Operate forklift to unload and reload trailer with company products.
+ Complete all required company and DOT required documents and reports.
+ Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle.
+ Ability to manage and track inventory.
+ Protect company assets by securing product loads before and during transport.
+ Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections.
Qualifications
+ Must be 21 years of age or older.
+ Minimum two years' experience driving tractor/trailers OTR.
+ Ability to use a handheld device and application systems.
+ Valid CDL Class A license (T & N Endorsements may be required)
+ Must be able to meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration driver qualifications including pre-trip and post-trip requirements.
+ Ability to safely lift up to 66 pounds.
+ Repetitive motion when loading and securing products in trailer.
+ Forklift experience preferred.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
+ Basic computer/data entry skills and basic math skills proficiency.
+ Ability to drive tractor/trailer in all weather conditions.
+ Manual Transmission experience preferred

Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least 3 years' experience driving, and 2 years hauling heavy equipment.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Valid Class A CDL License and medical card required.
Must be able to operate manual transmission (13 speed)
Must have a clean driving record, as well as sound knowledge of truck maintenance.
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing at least 50 pounds.
Ability to operator various pieces of heavy equipment
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly (occasional out of town work)
Strong knowledge of Federal and State DOT Laws.

Without experience, class A drivers are now being hired. Drivers must have a valid Class A CDL, a recent DOT physical, be 21 years old or older, have a clean driving record, and be willing to work for 30 days straight with no time off during the OTR training period.
To begin, we are offering a 30-day OTR training opportunity with a weekly compensation of $800. After completing the OTR program, you will be hired on a permanent basis and allocated a Company Truck with an average weekly compensation of $1150 to $1500.
After completing your training, you will have the choice of moving into one of our regional or dedicated lanes or continuing to work OTR. If a particular run isn't accessible, you'll have to be willing to get started in a regional or OTR position.
It's possible that you'll only have to wait a week or so to get transferred to the position you actually want. We have three divisions with a variety of runs to select from.
You will be enrolled in our 3-day orientation once you have been approved for our training position. Following completion, you will go out for 4 weeks with a trainer for your OTR training. Drivers should prepare to be on the road for 30 days straight with no time home.
