Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment.
Industry related training is preferred
Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through
The pay range for this position is $24.45 - $36.25 per hour.

**Job Title:** Tractor Mechanic **Department:** Maintenance **Country:** United States of America **State/Province:** Ohio **City:** Columbus **Full/Part Time:** Full time Under general supervision, this position acts as a subject matter expert for Tractor Technicians. The Senior is responsible for performing complex maintenance, service, and repair of J.B. Hunt tractors and other equipment. Technicians must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete all fleet maintenance processes and ensure that units meet J.B. Hunt specifications at all times. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance.

+ Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and complex repairs as it pertains to tractor maintenance including but not limited to the fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, onboard computer, transmission, air brake systems, and FHWA Inspections
+ May onboard and mentor new Tractor Technician trainees; act as team lead to include beginning or ending shifts
+ Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturing training for OE repairs
+ Troubleshoot tractor issues, develop innovative solutions and work independently under minimal direction
+ Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
+ Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers at all times
+ Complete secondary maintenance on escalated repairs
+ Accurately perform the most difficult repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and exceed requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
Shift Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 7AM to 5:30PM
