In the position of a Senior Product Manager - Developer Experience, you will be responsible for shaping the early‑stage journey for all developers and partners building on the Docusign platform, from discovery, sign‑up, to their first successful API interaction. Your mission is to architect a world‑class experience that drives ecosystem growth and establishes Docusign as the premier platform for Intelligent Agreement Management. You will define the strategy and roadmap for how developers discover, onboard, and activate on our platform, along with ecosystem developer tools (SDKs, IDE Integrations), reducing time‑to‑first‑API‑call, improving conversion through guided experiences, and ensuring developers can quickly go from idea to a working integration. The successful candidate will deeply understand the Docusign product strategy, the role Developers need to play in order to accomplish it and contribute towards a Developer Experience that makes it possible. This is a highly visible, strategic role that sits at the intersection of product, engineering, marketing, and developer community.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Management.
Responsibility
Define and execute the product strategy for the early stage developer journey, from initial discovery on our developer portal to sign‑up and successful first interaction (e.g. API call or test extension app)
Own the product roadmap for our developer tools - including our REST API SDKs, IDE extensions, newer technologies such as MCP/AI‑powered developer assistants, ensuring they are adopted and loved by developers for boosting productivity
Champion a data‑driven culture, utilizing metrics such as developer signups, activation rates, time‑to‑first‑API‑call, and partner adoption to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement
Provide drivership across multiple product and engineering teams in a federated model, using your influence and deep market knowledge to ensure core product roadmaps account for the needs of our developer and partner ecosystems inline with the product scope defined above
Collaborate closely with Developer Content, Advocacy, and Marketing teams to ensure developers can easily discover, learn, and onboard onto our platform
Own timely, transparent communication to leadership on the progress of their charter, attainment of key metrics, and strategic roadmap
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in‑office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in‑office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
8+ years of product management experience in developer experience, enterprise software or a related field
A proven track record of successfully identifying customer problems ground up, defining strategy, delivering solutions, and ensuring developer adoption
Proven experience shipping and managing developer‑facing products such as APIs, SDKs, IDE extensions, or developer consoles
Experience working in an Agile development environment in a global/mutli‑geolocated setup
Preferred
An experienced influencer with the ability to collaborate well and drive alignment in a matrixed environment having multiple stakeholders
Strong technical background, with the ability to engage in design discussions with engineering on topics like API design, Developer toolchains and with Experience Design on topics such as Information Architecture and content
A data‑driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform product strategy, prioritization and adoption
Experience with major enterprise software ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft, SAP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both developer and executive audiences via mechanisms like research summaries, solution roadmaps, requirement documents, execution updates, launch communications, and adoption reports etc
Ability to multi‑task and work independently or with minimal supervision
