* Assist in replacing damaged poles with new poles and straightening the poles. Erect poles and light or heavy duty transmission towers. Attach cross arms, insulators, and auxiliary equipment to poles. Dig holes and anchor holes using augers, install ground rods, and set poles using cranes and power equipment. Trim trees that could be hazardous to the functioning of cables or wires.
* Assist in pulling cable including double bundle conductor with wire pulling equipment and/or air support by hand from large reels mounted on trucks. Lay underground cable directly in trenches or string it through conduit running through the trenches. Cut trenches for laying underground cables, using trenchers and cable plows.
* Learn to safely install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems, including conductors, cables, sagging, clipping, dead-end terminations, and associated appliances. Climb poles with Lineman's hooks and use truck-mounted buckets to access equipment.
* Learn to open switches or attach grounding devices in order to remove electrical hazards from disturbed or fallen lines or to facilitate repairs. Place insulating or fireproofing materials over conductors and joints. Identify defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators, transformers, switches, relays, or wiring using and understanding prints, wiring diagrams, and electrical-testing instruments.
* Learn to inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems, using reading and testing instruments. Test conductors, according to electrical diagrams and specifications to identify corresponding conductors and to prevent incorrect connections.
* Understand basic electrical theory, distribution circuits, 3 Phase AC, interpret blueprints and 1-line drawings and effectively operate a transit. Assist in the training and direction of employees in lower classifications.
* Learn to safely operate various types of transmission and distribution equipment i.e., Digger/Derrick flex track, bucket trucks, wire puller/tensioner.

YOUR DAY APPRENTICE PLUMBING, HVAC, AND EXCAVATION TECH
Your adventure starts bright and early with a morning huddle at our shop. You'll get your marching orders for the day and check in with your team. From there, it's all about hands-on learning! You'll assist our seasoned plumbers and HVAC pros with everything from installing and fixing piping and fixtures to digging trenches and cutting metal components. Expect to greet customers with a smile, answer their questions, and leave them feeling delighted. Safety is key, so you'll rock that protective gear and follow all the rules. You'll also document your work using Service Titan software, keeping the team in the loop. By day's end, you'll have new skills under your belt and a sense of accomplishment from a job well done.
YOUR SCHEDULE
As an entry-level Apprentice Plumbing and Excavation Tech, you'll start your day with the team at our shop/office between 7 AM and 8:15 AM for some training and morning pow-wows. Your workday goes until the last job is done-usually around 5 PM, but sometimes a bit later because we love keeping our customers happy. On-call shifts are part of the gig, giving you the chance to earn extra with time and a half.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPRENTICE PLUMBING AND EXCAVATION TECH
Valid driver's license that meets insurance requirements
Ability to communicate, learn, and execute the physical demands of the job
Some former experience in the field is preferred, but not required.

Overview of Position: The purpose of the position is to apply products safely and accurately to a wide range of labeled crops and sites from recommendations made by the Manager/Salesperson. This position also operates and maintains Company equipment involved in these applications. This includes building and maintaining customer relations through application of products and providing feedback to customers and location manager of field conditions that they note during application. Upon annual performance evaluations, this position could lead to a Custom Applicator position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides quality application of dry fertilizer products and lime to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Utilize the information supplied and the technology in the application equipment to ensure that the right products at the right rates are applied to the right fields and customers.
Assist in the mixing, loading, unloading, and transporting of crop protection and fertilizer products.
Consistently follows all laws, regulations, and safety rules (including PPE) in handling and applying products.
Obtains/maintains state commercial applicator certification and stays current with requirements.
Performs daily inspection of equipment prior to field applications and post application inspections.
Maintains safety equipment in optimum condition in the applicator equipment and immediate work area; follows all safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintains the appropriate applicator and equipment logs and ensures they are kept up to date.
Performs the required calibration and preventive maintenance recommended for the equipment.
Comply with regulatory guidelines in rinsing and washing down both in the field and at the location.
Assist other team members in various physical duties necessary in running an agricultural location.
Assist with operational scouting, product transportation and various services for customers.
Follow Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Required Qualifications
High School graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.
Valid driver's license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification as required by state.
Minimum of an Ag CDL.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Communicate effectively with team members and customers and represent Co-Alliance in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to read, count, write, and to utilize technology to accurately complete all documentation, including understanding shipping/applicator orders and tickets, product labels, SDS sheets, warning signs and emergency procedures.
Basic mechanical skills for daily maintenance of equipment preferred.
Be familiar with crop chemicals, nutrients, farming practices, and crop characteristics.
Possess the willingness to adapt to changing application technologies as well as seasonal variations in workload responsibilities.
Use technology to accurately locate application sites and read field maps.
Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
Knowledgeable in unloading, layout, rigging, connecting, bolting and welding structural steel, bar joists, girders, metal roof and floor decking, and miscellaneous steel, by following prints and instructions while guaranteeing all quality and safety standards are met.
Erect steel frames.
Direct cranes for movement/placement of steel members.
Bolt or weld steel in place. Certified welders (must have papers) make more money.
Operate forklifts and man-lifts.
Rigging steel with chokers for placement with cranes or forklifts.
Use lasers, levels or plumb bobs to correctly plumb/align steel.
Install plumb cables to temp align/hold building during erection/plumbing.
Use oxy/acety torches, gas saws or grinders to cut steel.
Install miscellaneous steel. (stairs, rails, guardrails, etc.)
Read and follow blueprints, sketches and other instructions.
Work Week: Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturdays.
Work mostly in Columbus and surrounding cities with some short term travel required . Mostly central/southern Ohio.
Ironwork is an outdoor job. Working in heat and cold a must.
Being at the job on time, every day we are working, is a must. On time meaning, ready to work at starting time. Doesn't matter how great of an Ironworker you are, if your not there.
