Analyze defects and adjusts or repairs electrical mechanical systems of outboard motors. Disassembles and inspects motor for defective parts, using mechanical hand tools.

Capable of accomplishing the testing of equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications, references and drawings without Supervision. Capable of accomplishing the installation and testing of various shop equipment. Must have ability to follow repair references and drawings and be proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment.

Qualification Standards
Scaffold building experience and a certificate in high reach equipment and sky climbers are required. Must have Scaffold Competent Personal Training. Must have the ability to read and write in English. Must have the ability to read a tape measure and operate power tools safely. Must have the ability to determine the amount and type of materials needed for constructing scaffolds. Must have the ability to pass mechanical reasoning. Must be clean shaven for a respirator fit (modest moustache is fine). Must have the ability to work at heights above thirty feet, in confined spaces, and be able to work any shift. Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions, hear warning signals, and read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings.
Essential Job Tasks
Construct and dismantle scaffolds and other wooden structures, safety handrails, and other equipment.

Capable of accomplishing the testing of equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications, references and drawings without Supervision. Capable of accomplishing the installation and testing of various shop equipment.
