Trados company history timeline

1994

MultiTerm was initially created as a terminology management tool for DOS. The first Translator’s Workbench 1994 saw the first Translator’s Workbench developed to run on Microsoft Windows.

2003

Trados 6 TRADOS 6 was launched in April 2003, with TRADOS 6.5 following in October of the same year.

2009

2009 saw the release of SDL Trados Studio 2009, not only the best of Trados and SDLX, but the arrival of the next generation in translation memory which was set to revolutionize the way people work.

2011

SDL Passolo 2011 A new version of SDL Passolo, the software for localization experts, is released, bringing team collaboration to the next level.

2015

SDL Studio GroupShare 2015 GroupShare 2015 launches giving project managers improved management over how large number of projects can be handled and ultimately more control of application performance.

2016

SDL AppStore launched In 2016 SDL AppStore is launched, a company-wide initiative that builds on the success of the pioneering SDL OpenExchange, offering all SDL customers different ways to extend their software and enhance their user experience.
