Your Key Responsibilities Managing and delivering Commissioning Services for valued clients and their projects throughout Texas, Southwest and Gulf Regions. Develop Cx plans and specifications. Attend Cx pre-proposal meetings, Cx kick-off meetings and additional meetings as required for designated Cx projects. Execute and manage commissioning assignments encompassing both in office and on-site activities and requirements. Monitor Cx activities on an ongoing basis to ensure timely and efficient completion of Cx work and ensure compliance of project contract Cx requirements. Identify deficiencies and out-of-scope work requirements and initiate appropriate measures with assigned project manager to facilitate project completion. Maintain schedules, ensuring proper resources are allocated to each commissioning task. Audit all sites during commissioning to ensure desired scope, quality, and schedules are met. Support and participate in coordination and implementation of commissioning and performance testing processes and methodologies, and detailed capture and effective recording of these project details and findings. Reviews of design drawings and specifications and reporting to Clients with regard to whether proposed design satisfies the Owner's project requirements. Support Commissioning team in active field reviews, testing, issue capture and issues resolution of mechanical, electrical and automation related technical services within facilities. Prepare and develop detailed and concise reports and support documentation. Witness and document air and water balancing procedures and balancing results. Witness and document automation controls verifications and sensor calibrations. Assists in generating Functional Performance test scripts based upon project specific sequences of operation for mechanical, electrical and life safety systems. Your Opportunity Stantec's Alaska environmental services, wetland (aquatic resources) group, is seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist to support baseline environmental field surveys, reporting, and project permitting for our clients across diverse business sectors. The selected candidate will apply their interest in Alaskan ecology to be trained to complete field work, baseline and functional assessments, technical reports, and permitting on: wetlands, aquatic resources, vegetation, soils, streams, fish, birds, bats, wildlife, and endangered species. The selected candidate will be trained to complete aquatic resource delineations meeting agency requirements and to understand and help complete CWA Section 404 and 401 permits in Alaska and the western United States. As an Environmental Scientist, you will work in a highly dynamic team environment with other biologists and ecologists, NEPA specialists, geologists, engineers, architects, environmental planners, and specialized regulatory permit experts. This position will include opportunities for both field and office work. During the Alaskan winter it is primarily office based technical report writing mixed with GIS tasks. During the summer it is a mixture of field and office work. Summer field work may involve potential helicopter, boat, ATV or vehicle travel for up to two weeks at a time away from home.
