Role description:
Arcadis seeks a Junior ITS / Traffic Signal Technician with a wide variety of experience to join the team in Baton Rouge, LA. In this role you will assist our growing ITS / Traffic engineering group on various projects in the Southeast. This is an excellent opportunity with great potential for growth!
Role accountabilities:
* Integration and maintenance of ITS and Traffic Signal Systems including CCTV systems, changeable message signs, travel time readers, and vehicle detection systems.
* Installation and maintenance of communications systems including fiber optic systems and wireless systems.
* Trouble-shoot traffic signal operations and prepare action plans to implement remedies for associated problems with equipment component failures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma level education or equivalent,
* 4 or more years of experience in specialist/technical area of work
* Willingness to work at heights
Key Attributes
* Willingness to work at heights
* Willing to travel to assignments throughout the Southeast United States.
* Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
* Technical experience with Traffic Signals, CCTVs, Ethernet Switches, Travel Time Readers, and wireless technologies.
* Customer service experience.
* Good written and verbal communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* IMSA Level 2 Preferred
