Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm***
*** Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various early morning start times are occasionally required. Occasionally you will complete your day early or need to adjust your start time to earlier.

Basic Qualifications:

· Must be over 25 years of age (Insurance Requirement)

· Valid driver’s license with a clean record (No DUI/DWI in last 3 years/ no accidents in last 2 years)

· Proven work experience pulling bumper pull and 40-foot gooseneck trailers ( 2 years min. experience)

· Basic mechanical skills: change tires, change batteries, fix lights, etc.

· TWIC Card (or ability to obtain one)

· Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, background check)

· Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this job and to safety regulations

· Have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

· Ability to work in a variety of weather and traffic conditions

Drivers Responsibilities

· Pre-Trip inspection of truck and trailer – ensure in good operation, lights working, safety chains intact, no safety issues.

· Hooking and unhooking trailers

· Driving Forklift – to load or unload down equipment

· Loading and unloading trailers, including securing the load and strapping down cars and utilizing extra straps for accessories such as: Wood on flatbeds had to have its own strap, as well as enclosures, beverage cars, ambulance, and some roofs/cabs. If it does not look secure or like it will ride down the highway, strap it down.

· Trailers need to be unloaded every evening. Cars should be checked in properly. Always ask questions if you are unsure. Making a mistake here can delay turnaround times for repairs

· Frequently lift, push, or move products that weights 1-100 lbs.

· Frequently climbing on and off trailer, bending and twisting while unloading products and retrieving items from trailer. Occasionally pushing broken equipment up on the trailer/using a winch as an assistive device.

· Following a route and time schedule. Immediately inform management team of any deviations. Nothing leaves here without a task and invoice and/or Task and rental contract. Always call the contact on your paperwork prior to leaving the shop. Make sure they will be able to accept the delivery. Some places are closed on Fridays and sometimes the contacts the salesmen give may not be the correct contact. You must always call first.

· Collect Payments when required and turn in when returning to office.

· Scanning cars and chargers with IPhone and email list to maintain inventory control. This is how we manage our inventory. If we do not scan, then we can potentially loose inventory. That costs the company a lot of money. Scan every car - every load no excuses. Use the label:

· Chargers and Keys must be accounted for. Be sure to follow policy to tracking those items.

· Rental cars with damage, missing keys, stickers, etc. must be reported to the dispatcher so the customer can be billed.

· Maintaining a clean truck and trailer; washing and detailing all vehicles owned by company.

· Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills.

· Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision.

· Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures.

· Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations. Must be a team player and be able to communicate and work with others well.

· Do not use your cell phones while driving. Always pull over to a safe spot before texting or calling.

· Follow the speed limit. You are responsible for your tickets you get. General manager must be notified if you receive a ticket in company vehicle.

· Drive responsibly through parking lot and driveways.

General Description . A Class A Dump Trailer Driver is an hourly-rated skilled craft position that transports debris from the Transfer Station to the Landfill as needed. A Class A Dump Trailer Driver typically performs a wide variety of tasks, transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates.

Key Duties

+ Must have a valid Class "A" CDL with a good driving record within MVR policy guidelines

+ Familiarity with DOT regulations

+ Drives 75-yard transfer trailer trucks to transport materials to/from the Transfer Station and the Landfill.

+ Knowledge with chaining and binding of equipment being transported. (DOT)

+ Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to vehicle before operation

+ Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicle to remain in proper and safe working order

Qualification Requirements

+ General. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + Education and Experience. This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a Tractor Trailer Dump Body Driver. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees. Three (3) to Five (5) years or more of industry related experience is required for this position , with an emphasis on roads, highways, and bridges.

+ Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Driver to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

+ Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.

+ Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50-90 pounds personally, and up to 150 pounds with assistance.

+ Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.

+ Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions.

+ The Operator must be able to climb on and off heavy equipment safely

+ Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that An Earthmover Operator encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
