Pay for this position starts at $22.00 - $25.00/hour Depending on experience + Annual BONUS POTENTIAL paid quarterly!! Employees will get a $1.00 increase after 60 days!!

Timpte is looking for a Trailer Technician at our Urbana, IA Customer Support Center. This position will have a flexible schedule! Employees can choose if they would like to work 4- 10 hour days or 5 - 8 hour days! As a Trailer Technician, you will diagnose, repair and service trailers of all brands in a safe and professional manner. Job Responsibilities

• Technicians replace or repair damaged panels, rails, and traps

• Perform trailer alignments and adjustments, repair and replace brakes, cams and wheel seals

• Welding some steel and aluminum

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Ability to work in a standing position and/or walk up to 100% of the time

• Ability to bend, stoop, crawl around equipment, and crawl in and out of tubs and trailers and to work from ladders

• Ability to carry objects weighting up to 50 lbs. for a distance of 10-50 feet. Objects over 50lbs, use two people

Sun State International Trucks is currently seeking experienced Trailer Technicians for our Aftermarket facility in Tampa, Florida. Our ideal candidate is skilled in the repair of trailers; including bodywork, brakes, axles, electrical systems, and refrigeration system repairs.

Sun State International Trucks is a locally owned dealership retailing International brand trucks with 5 locations throughout Florida. We sell both new and used trucks and trailers. We are an authorized dealer of IC Bus, Hyundai Translead trailers, and Globe trailers. We also provide parts and service for heavy-duty trucks of all brands.

As an experienced Trailer Technician – you know the job. We expect you to be able to accurately evaluate repairs and complete repairs in a timely manner.

Hourly rate is based on experience and Trailer Technicians are eligible for a monthly efficiency bonus. As an employee of Sun State, you’ll be eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-term disability insurance and our 401K retirement plan with employer match.

Required Education, Licenses, and Skills:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 – 3 years of experience performing mechanical repairs on Trailer bodies
• Aptitude for mechanical tasks
• Ability to Meet Physical Requirements

Trailer Mechanic, Starting up to $33.90 hr

Full-Time, Monday – Friday, various shifts

Earn 1 week of vacation after 90 days of employment

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations

• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
