Job Summary Substation Trainee construct, install, test and maintain substation switching apparatus, control cables and associated batteries. Operates substation and take power clearances. Essential Functions * Must pass satisfactory examinations in accordance with Electric Traction Training Agreement. * Must maintain 80% average (exception- hiring at class "A" status). * Must have prior satisfactory work attendance record, work performance, and safety record. * Must read, write, and speak the English language clearly, with the ability to communicate using telephones and radios. * Will be placed in a training program and must excel through all stages of training. * The ability to respond to railroad concerns on a 24-hour basis. * Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Basic electrical theory, knowledge coupled with the desire and ability to learn. * Must have a current valid driver's license at hiring or transfer. License must be maintained throughout employment. * Must be able to understand, speak, and write the English language fluently. * High School Diploma or GED. * Must be able to lift 50lbs or more. Preferred Qualifications * Experience as an electrician with High voltage electrical systems and safety procedures. * Knowledge of electrical components and use of various electrical testing devices. * Formal electrical training Communications and Interpersonal Skills * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions The hourly range is $44.23 - $49.14 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).     Histotech / Grossing Trainee - Newtown Square, PA, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM The Histotechnician/Grossing Technician Trainee position is for an individual who meets the educational requirements outlined in the corporate policies outlined above, but does not have the bench experience. Responsibilities: * Under general supervision and according to policies and procedures, perform routine and limited non-routine activities involved in the preparation of slides, for microscopic evaluation by pathologist(s). * Capable of performing all duties/responsibilities of a Histology Lab Assistant. * For Grossing Personnel Trainees - Under the direct supervision of a Pathologist, Pathologist Assistant or Grossing Technician: * Describe gross anatomic features of routine, uncomplicated surgical specimens, ensuring that all lesions, markings and sutures are mentioned. * Record measurements, weight, volume and any abnormal findings as applicable. * Dissect surgical specimens and prepare tissues for histologic processing. * Escalates non-routine, complicated surgical specimens to a Grossing Technician or Pathologist Assistant. * For Histotechnician Trainees - Under the direct supervision of a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist * Ensure proper tissue processing. * Performs limited embedding and microtomy. * Prepare slides for routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining. * Perform coverslipping of stained slides either manually or automated. * Perform limited special stains. * Perform specimen preparation on non-gynecological specimens, including cytopreparation, staining, coverslipping, etc. after completing training on non-gynecological specimen types. This includes specimen preparation of Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) specimens * Ensure all corporate safety, quality control and quality assurance standards are met. * Ensure compliance with all local, federal, CLIA and CAP regulations. * Maintain a clean and well-organized work area. * Other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
