RESPONSIBILITIES
* Investigate and interpret policy provisions, endorsements and conditions to make a coverage determination in the automobile property claim.
* Identify and investigate Contested Coverage Claims with recommendation prepared for coverage committee.
* Responsible for the investigation of the auto accident to make a liability assessment. This includes interviewing first and third party claimants, witnesses, investigating officers and other relevant parties, along with securing pertinent records, documentation and loss scene information.
* Analyze the investigation to determine proximate cause, negligence, and damages.
* Evaluate and adjust reserves as necessary.
* Prepare dispatch instructions for field personnel to inspect vehicles.
* Negotiate and settle claims within his/her individual authority.
* Submit claims for approval to supervisor when over his/her authority or for guidance, review and/or referral when appropriate.
* Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files.
* Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Adjust to fluctuating workload.
* Advise insureds, claimants, brokers on the status of the claim.
* Act as an intermediary between the Company, preferred vendors and customers.
* Resolve all disputes that may arise.
* Ensure that service, loss and expense control are maintained at all times.
* Adhere to privacy guidelines, law and regulations pertaining to claims handling.
* Investigate and initiate subrogation when applicable.
* Handle and respond to arbitration and special civil part lawsuits pertaining to property damage.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, and written skills are required.

Histotech / Grossing Trainee - Newtown Square, PA, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM The Histotechnician/Grossing Technician Trainee position is for an individual who meets the educational requirements outlined in the corporate policies outlined above, but does not have the bench experience. The individual will be trained either as a grossing technician or as a histotechnician. The individual will be moved into the intern (I) job grade on a temporary basis until training is complete. The individual in this position will perform all work under direct supervision until general and/or technical supervisor have approved individual to work independently.
Pay range: $22.00+ per hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Responsibilities:
* Under general supervision and according to policies and procedures, perform routine and limited non-routine activities involved in the preparation of slides, for microscopic evaluation by pathologist(s).
* Capable of performing all duties/responsibilities of a Histology Lab Assistant.
* For Grossing Personnel Trainees - Under the direct supervision of a Pathologist, Pathologist Assistant or Grossing Technician:
* Describe gross anatomic features of routine, uncomplicated surgical specimens, ensuring that all lesions, markings and sutures are mentioned.
* Record measurements, weight, volume and any abnormal findings as applicable.
* Dissect surgical specimens and prepare tissues for histologic processing.
* Escalates non-routine, complicated surgical specimens to a Grossing Technician or Pathologist Assistant.
* For Histotechnician Trainees - Under the direct supervision of a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist
* Ensure proper tissue processing.
* Performs limited embedding and microtomy.
* Prepare slides for routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining.
* Perform coverslipping of stained slides either manually or automated.
* Perform limited special stains.
* Perform specimen preparation on non-gynecological specimens, including cytopreparation, staining, coverslipping, etc. after completing training on non-gynecological specimen types. This includes specimen preparation of Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) specimens
