Then, starting in July 2026 and running through September 2026, the majority of your learning experience is delivered in Crum & Forster's state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey (only a one-hour ride to New York City). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Upon completion of training, the maintenance trainee will have ability to: * Understand Standard Operating Procedures (start up, shut down, adjustment) and to repair all machinery breakdowns. * Perform preventative maintenance on designated equipment as per PM schedule. * Equipment changeover and conversion procedures. * Emergency operating procedures. * Lubrication procedure. * Perform repairs and upgrades on building facilities. * Perform necessary machinery mechanical modifications and upgrades. * Performs minor repairs on ink jets and strappers. * Inspect all inkjet printer heads, cleans daily. * Clean maintenance room and cage thoroughly every week. * Disassemble, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to component level, returning to good condition. * May learn to weld, burn and cut. * Have knowledge of gear boxes, pneumatics and hydraulics. SAFETY * Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures. * Training to properly inspect equipment and completes any forms as required. * Wears and maintains all required PPE. * Understands or is training to understand, all safety devices and their operation. * Keeps maintenance department clean, organized and safe. * Training to complete required paperwork for use with portable welding equipment and ladders.
