Job Responsibilities

How It Works…
After a series of interviews, the 2026 cohort will be selected. Then, starting in July 2026 and running through September 2026, the majority of your learning experience is delivered in Crum & Forster's state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey (only a one-hour ride to New York City). You will learn from insurance leaders while rotating through the various business segments and departments of Crum & Forster. Depending upon available space and opportunities, the program may also include brief learning rotations in other offices around the country (housing and flights included).

Position Overview
The Division of Family & Community Services is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented Social Services Career Trainee to receive on the job training for a period of six to twelve months in receiving and assisting customers seeking public assistance services available through Department of Human Services (DHS) programs in the Teen Parent Services Office. The Division helps Illinois residents by connecting them with many programs and services. Through our programs, services and prevention efforts, the Division improves the health and well-being of individuals and promotes self-sufficiency and integrity of families of Illinois.
Essential Functions
* Receives training in managing an increasing level of TPS cases to explain and interpret TPS programs, policy and eligibility requirements; receives training to conduct assessment of teen parent and other family for education, family health, social service needs and potential employment.
* Informs clients of changes in the TPS program, educational programs, child support services and encourages client participation in these programs.

Position Overview: The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Trainee is a hands-on position which performs a wide range of functions to support the day-to-day throughput of the radiography department. NDT Trainees are held to the company's highest standard of ethics, professionalism, and dependability. We currently perform Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and X-ray inspections.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Perform tasks under the direction of certified Level II inspectors, while gaining experience and acquiring knowledge of customer specifications and inspection requirements.
· Unpack parts, document the as-received condition, and prepare orders for inspection using established techniques.
· Perform final visual inspection, prepare, and package parts in accordance with customer requirements upon the completion of processing.
· Maintain proper housekeeping while adhering to applicable chemical, environmental, and safety procedures.
· Complete applicable paperwork for orders in-process, and track labor time using MIL's internal software.
· Provide cross functional support to other departments within the NDT group as needed.
· Trainees are expected to participate in NDT training programs, document hours of experience, and take certification exams as required to advance their level of certification.
· Take part in company-wide training and continuous improvement opportunities toward quality assurance initiatives, company objectives, and peripheral projects.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Special attention shall be given to safety procedures and compliance shall be maintained at all times.
• Must be a quality focused, detail-oriented, organized, self-starting individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Onsite Technician Trainee must be able to work independently and must exhibit the drive and integrity needed to provide consistent results for customers.
After successful completion of the initial training at the SIS headquarters, the Onsite Technician Trainee will be relocated to a customer location within the continental U.S. for a minimum of one year. Requirements
During the course of training, the Onsite Technician Trainee will learn to:
Sharpen, straighten, align, refurbish, recondition, repair, replace missing or worn parts of customer instrumentation according to industry best practices and company guidelines
Repair, calibrate, refurbish all general and specialty instrumentation and various other medical equipment as is customary to repair in a mobile lab
Ensure all information provided to home office is correct and accurately recorded
Interact with hospital personnel in a professional manner to ascertain necessary repairs and make recommendations to hospital personnel regarding upkeep of instrumentation and to perform all other necessary interaction to ensure customer service satisfaction
Receive and return instrumentation to customer in a professional and timely manner, consult with hospital personnel regarding instrumentation and repairs, and make recommendations to hospital personnel regarding instrumentation as necessary
Maintain lab inventory and supply levels as well as adhere to SIS SOP for Mobile Repair Labs
Forward any equipment not designated for repair on Mobile Repair Lab to appropriate repair location
Maintain service logs for Mobile Lab and Mobile Lab accessories and equipment
Adhere to hospital criteria, products, special contract terms, etc
Perform and/or ensure periodic maintenance/repair of Mobile Lab (tire rotation/change, major motor, body, generator repair, etc.) or bring vehicle to a specialist for other maintenance and repair as appropriate
Generate and distribute paperwork to customers such as invoices, tray requests, tray rotation, and other documentation as required by SIS or the customer
Acquire a purchase order number from customers for each repair visit where appropriate
Maintain a master tray list for each customer including service dates
Identify areas of improvement regarding quality issues and offer solutions
Actively participate in continued education and training
Any and all duties as assigned by SIS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Attend New Staff Orientation prior to starting the internship.
* Provides direct service to members, as indicated by the service plan, while supervised by an appropriate, designated staff person. Consistent with the intern's level of experience and training, this potentially includes but is not limited to individual counseling/therapy, case management, teaching, assessment, assertive community treatment, job support, managing medications, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group counseling/therapy. This may be done in the community or on site at a Thresholds location, but the majority of services will be provided in the community unless otherwise specified by a supervisor.
* Completion of all assigned paperwork in a timely fashion, such as individual and group documentation, attendance reports, service plans and evaluations as assigned by the supervisor.
* Provide accurate and timely information to the supervisor on all topics and issues important to the rehabilitation and well-being of Thresholds members.
* Attend staff and team meetings as assigned by a supervisor.
* Maintain a professional demeanor with members, colleagues, and collateral contacts consistent with agency ethics and code of conduct guidelines.
EDUCATION
* Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Family Therapy, or other related human service programs.
* 1st or 2nd year Master's students preferred.
EXPERIENCE
* Social service experience and/or experience working with individuals with mental illness preferred.
* Ability to synthesize and summarize information and make judgments regarding member care.
* Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide information to members and healthcare personnel.
* Demonstrated ability to function independently.
* Computer skills required; knowledge of database functions and maintenance necessary.
