In this role, you'll be right at the heart of our operations, supporting the load testing of lifting equipment and specialist plant items, helping to ensure that every job is delivered on time and with the highest safety standards. You'll also be hands-on in preparing, inspecting and certifying a range of lifting and specialist gear, all in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
Your day-to-day will include making sure the right equipment reaches the right site by accurately booking items out of the warehouse, and then carefully checking everything that comes back in-spotting any signs of damage and getting everything logged and stored correctly. There's also an important on-site element, where you'll carry out scheduled inspections and provide certifications to keep everything compliant and in top working order.

The International Institute of New England is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving refugees and immigrants in Boston, MA, Lowell, MA, and Manchester, NH. The Role: Make an Impact
The EHS Intern will support the implementation of Londonderry's environmental management system. The role includes developing a tool for tracking the facility's environmental objectives and assisting in preparing the site for Lactalis' internal ISO 14001 audit. Summer Intern - Power System Modeling
We seek a summer intern to join a multi-disciplinary team that researches, tests, and develops power distribution systems and energy generation systems that can provide robust and efficient power to critical services across the country. The candidate will develop power distribution system models to understand how generation sources (both traditional diesel and natural gas-fired as well as renewables), electric vehicles, energy storage, and distribution system configurations can be best design to support reliable power delivery. This will include developing distribution system models in virtual simulation environments as well as in a hardware-in-the-loop platform.
Qualifications
Candidates who are in the process of earning a B.S., M.S., and or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics, or other engineering discipline will be considered.
