Position Overview
During the first year Trevose, Pennsylvania, the program includes in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Underwriting, Claims, IT and Finance. Trainees progress during the second and subsequent years into Surety Underwriter positions at a branch location with greater underwriting and leadership responsibility.
Timeline and Performance Objectives
* During the first 6 months: Understand surety underwriting operations. Work with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and IT departments on various projects. Understand the factors that affect and influence bond ratings and risks. Ask a lot of questions to understand the concepts and processes.
* During the first year: Review underwriting submissions and write the basic analysis of bond applicants' financial statements, collateral, and related due diligence. Cultivate relationships with internal and external contacts to facilitate underwriting processes, promote business development, and stay current with industry trends. Find creative and analytical solutions to support branch underwriting activity. Complete the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) certification.
* Beyond the first year: Relocate to a branch office. Determine the degree of underwriting risk on a variety of contract and commercial surety bonds, with increasing underwriting authority over time. Expand business opportunities through customer outreach, marketing activities, participation in industry events, and other business development initiatives.
Education and Experience
* We prefer a bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
* The role is an entry-level underwriting position. Internship(s) or experience in business or a related area is preferred.
* Willingness to relocate to a TMHCC Surety branch office, including among the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington.
For candidates working in person in Los Angeles, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $27.95 to $38.41 per hour. Position Overview
This training track is for students seeking a Field Placement that leads to eligibility for the Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) in school social work. This track entails placement at one of our three Charter schools. We currently have a middle school (6th-8th grades), elementary (TK-grade 5) and a primary center (Tk-1st grade). Training within this track includes supporting with individual and small group counseling, attendance (includes tracking, meeting with parents, conducting home visits, supporting school staff with incentive programs); classroom interventions; presentations (i.e. topics such as bullying, conflict resolution, etc..); parent workshops; case management and crisis intervention. Students will have the opportunity to co-facilitate groups on topics such as social skills, bullying, etc.
Available Internship Days and Times:
This internship is a 20 hours a week commitment. Internship days are flexible, however attendance at the site must be during school hours (i.e. 7:30am-3:30pm). If you would like to qualify for the PPSC, you will need to serve at one site for 16 hours and the remaining four at another site. Wednesdays are a mandatory training day as this is the day of the week in which staff meetings, trainings and group supervision take place on a weekly basis (9am-3pm).
The primary start date for training is the first Wednesday after Labor Day. There will be a 2 day orientation that will take place in late August (date to be determined) in order to help the students with onboarding activities. This orientation is necessary in order to ensure students have completed activities that will support their beginning their clinical training. It should also be noted that for the first two weeks of training in September most trainings are scheduled to take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Attendance to these training days is required unless prior arrangements have been discussed with the respective training supervisor.
Special Requirements: (ie: livescan , TB clearance, training days prior experience)
We require that all students pass a livescan, drug screening and TB test. Agency wide trainings are also required (topics on trauma informed treatment, child abuse reporting, CPR / First Aide, etc..)
Supervision and Training Plan
Supervision: Students receive 1 hour of individual and 2 hours of group supervision weekly. Individual supervision is done in person while group supervision is conducted via telehealth format. Group supervision consists of no more than 8 students. Students present cases each week in a structured presentation format to facilitate this area of their professional development.
Meetings with Preceptors: Students are assigned a preceptor at the beginning of the training year who provides additional needed supports for the student to acclimate to their placement and be available in the event they have questions or crises arise.
Trainings: Students participate in bi-monthly trainings. Trainings take place on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm. Various topics that have been presented previously include crisis intervention, compassion fatigue, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, attachment, brain development, toxic stress, art therapy and sensory processing disorders.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. English proficiency supporting professional-level verbal and written communication to children, parents and other staff members required.
Education and Certification Requirements
BA / BS Degree.
Concurrent enrollment in a graduate degree program.
Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug test and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Current certification in CPR/First Aid.

WORK SCHEDULE:
These positions work various schedules and at various locations throughout the city of Oxnard. These positions may be required to be available to work additional hours as needed to respond to workload needs. Support the SPY Garden Team in growing the SPY Garden (planting, watering, weeding, composting, harvesting, distributing).

The Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Systems team is committed to building and maintaining the technological platforms for baseball data, analysis, and decision-making for the Dodgers, and to providing technical expertise and advice across Dodger Baseball Operations. We focus on both the tools needed to put a winning team on the field today and those we need to ensure a winning future.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* The Baseball Systems Intern will complete a baseball software project designed to fit within the team's needs while matching the intern's engineering skills. The project goal will include deploying production systems to ensure lasting impact from the work. The intern will also participate in team meetings and activities for planning and operations, and fulfill other duties as needed to support the Rule 4 Draft.
* Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
* Ability to write code in at least one of Python or JavaScript
* Familiarity with relational data and SQL
* Familiarity with version control
* Familiarity with cloud computing is a plus
* Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
* Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 3-month program during the summer months
* Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
* Passionate about working for a professional sports team
* Proactive and out of the box thinking
This program consists of 80% in-department work, 15% cross-functional project experience, and 5% additional programming. Interns collaborate on real business projects in small cross-functional groups while gaining hands-on, department-specific experience under a dedicated manager. The program is 100% in-person/onsite. This is a non-renewable internship and will conclude at the end of the scheduled 12-week program.
