(SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community members seeking alternatives to prison for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing residential treatment services and outpatient counseling services to individuals throughout Los Angeles, as well as housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence. SCADP now offers services with a continuum of care to underserved and disadvantaged populations throughout the Los Angeles area.
PAY RATE: $30.40 - $32 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Under the clinical supervision of a 2 year post Licensed Clinician and the operations supervision of the Program Manager, the Trainee Clinician will learn basic skills of assessment, documentation, individual, family, couple and group sessions, confidentiality, ethics and boundaries, diagnosing, trauma informed care, CBT and other theory approaches. The Trainee Clinician will be in a practicum class at their college engaged in learning the skills to advance to a registered Clinician once graduating college.
In the process of being a trainee by learning and developing clinical skills towards becoming a registered clinician, the Trainee Clinician shall receive training by 2 year post licensed clinicians in performing assessments, diagnosing, individual, family, couple and group sessions, and determining medical necessity. All work performed while supervised by 2 year post licensed clinicians shall emphasize respect for clients and ensure the required confidential nature of services provided.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
How to complete diagnosis based on DSM 5 evaluation and Z codes.
Ensure adherence to DMC-ODS Waiver, Title XXII, CARF standards, and HIPAA, while maintaining client confidentiality.
Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence based practice protocols.
Provide individual, family, couples and group therapeutic counseling
Learn to complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA. All documentation to be reviewed and signed off on by supervising 2 year post licensed clinicians.
Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed
Maintains the dignity and personal rights of all clients as highlighted by deploying clear and skilled crisis communication, de-escalation techniques when participants display hostile or volatile behaviors.
Develops positive workplace relationships with staff and peers by participation in professional development events and offering appropriate support while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Participates in routine clinical supervision with 2 year post licensed clinician
Attend staff meetings, case conferences, required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.
Serve as role model through positive, appropriate conduct and participation in agency events
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT: Perform client screening, intake, orientation, and assessment functions necessary to complete admission to the residential program, and screen for continuing stay criteria based on ASAM Criteria.
TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING:
Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence-based practice protocols.
Provide individual, group and family therapeutic counseling.
TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING: Provides complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Participates in routine clinical supervision with licensed clinician

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
EDUCATION:
Current enrollment in Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology (or related discipline) from an accredited graduate school.
Current enrollment in practicum class at graduate school with approval to complete hours at SCADP
EXPERIENCE:
This is an entry-level Clinical position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification by an approved accrediting organization (CCAPP, CADTP or CADEE)
Knowledge of Drug Medi-Cal and Los Angeles County services provisions

The role is significant and requires an individual who can anticipate needs, has excellent follow through and can positively handle many different and diverse responsibilities effectively and efficiently with a positive and “can do” attitude.
The Mental Health Associate/Intern will provide on-site mental health services to formerly homeless children and their families living in permanent supportive housing in Pleasant Hill. The position can be part or full-time depending on your needs. Individual supervision, group supervision and training are all provided. Associates provide services in an on-site play therapy room, in family homes and in the community. Some evening and occasional weekend hours will be required.
Applicants of diverse backgrounds who have experience working with low-income families with multiple challenges are encouraged to apply. Applicants with competency working with culturally diverse populations are strongly desired.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support formerly homeless children to reach their full potential (75%)
:
Provide milieu-based mental health services to
individual children
living in permanent supportive housing who are experiencing emotional challenges. Many of these children may be receiving EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment) services.
Provide on-site individual and group mental health therapeutic services to children.
Assist in delivering on-site parenting support groups to families.
Collaborate with case managers and the youth enrichment coordinator to provide support for individual children and their families, using a team approach. Assist with staff supervision of volunteer programs and community activities delivered to families served by CCIH. These may include evening and occasional weekend commitments.
Work with other staff members to provide community resources for families and individuals, such as social and health related activities, life-skills and employment support, and youth enrichment.
Stay on top of the paperwork and administrative details to keep the program running (15%)
:
Complete accurate and timely EPSDT chart notes for all services provided to children who are assigned under this contract.
Meet individual EPSDT contract goals for hourly billing, including averaging a minimum of 10 - 12 hours per week (depending on work schedule) of direct service to clients who are assigned under this contract.
Assist the services team with appropriate clinical documentation, including progress notes, service delivery documentation, reports, and forms.
Continuously improve your skills and work with team members and community partners to provide excellent services (10%)
Participate in weekly group and individual supervision, using that time to work on developing therapeutic skills and clinical knowledge, as well as exploring growth opportunities as a mental health provider.
Participate in clinical training as possible/needed.
Represent CCIH in a professional manner in all circumstances.
Maintain awareness of culturally diverse consumer populations and perform duties in a culturally competent manner.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) ensures all operations at Varda are performed safely and effectively, without harming the environment. The EHS team is responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating physical, chemical, operational, and other hazards across Varda's spacecraft and pharmaceutical development and production processes.

Responsibilities
Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) across engineering, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical operations to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and collaborate with teams to implement effective controls.
Drive safe handling of hazardous chemicals through the Hazard Communication (HazCom) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programs
Maintain environmental compliance by guiding departments in the proper accumulation and disposal of hazardous waste
Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of safety systems and equipment (e.g., emergency eyewashes and showers, fire extinguishers, fire alarm and suppression systems)
Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures (e.g., site emergency action plan, emergency drills, first aid/CPR/AED training)
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in occupational safety & health, environmental engineering/safety, or related field
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, in a fast-paced work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory EHS standards (e.g., Cal/OSHA, Cal/EPA, RCRA, SCAQMD, DOT, CA Fire Code)
