(SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community members seeking alternatives to prison for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing residential treatment services and outpatient counseling services to individuals throughout Los Angeles, as well as housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence. SCADP now offers services with a continuum of care to underserved and disadvantaged populations throughout the Los Angeles area.
PAY RATE: $30.40 - $32 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Under the clinical supervision of a 2 year post Licensed Clinician and the operations supervision of the Program Manager, the Trainee Clinician will learn basic skills of assessment, documentation, individual, family, couple and group sessions, confidentiality, ethics and boundaries, diagnosing, trauma informed care, CBT and other theory approaches. The Trainee Clinician will be in a practicum class at their college engaged in learning the skills to advance to a registered Clinician once graduating college.
In the process of being a trainee by learning and developing clinical skills towards becoming a registered clinician, the Trainee Clinician shall receive training by 2 year post licensed clinicians in performing assessments, diagnosing, individual, family, couple and group sessions, and determining medical necessity. All work performed while supervised by 2 year post licensed clinicians shall emphasize respect for clients and ensure the required confidential nature of services provided.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
How to complete diagnosis based on DSM 5 evaluation and Z codes.
Ensure adherence to DMC-ODS Waiver, Title XXII, CARF standards, and HIPAA, while maintaining client confidentiality.
Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence based practice protocols.
Provide individual, family, couples and group therapeutic counseling
Learn to complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA. All documentation to be reviewed and signed off on by supervising 2 year post licensed clinicians.
Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed
Maintains the dignity and personal rights of all clients as highlighted by deploying clear and skilled crisis communication, de-escalation techniques when participants display hostile or volatile behaviors.
Develops positive workplace relationships with staff and peers by participation in professional development events and offering appropriate support while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Participates in routine clinical supervision with 2 year post licensed clinician
Attend staff meetings, case conferences, required training to ensure continuum and quality of care.
Serve as role model through positive, appropriate conduct and participation in agency events
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
SCREENING AND ASSESSMENT: Perform client screening, intake, orientation, and assessment functions necessary to complete admission to the residential program, and screen for continuing stay criteria based on ASAM Criteria.
TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING:
Deliver treatment using trauma informed approach and evidence-based practice protocols.
Provide individual, group and family therapeutic counseling.
TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING: Provides complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all treatment in Electronic Health Record system and client files, ensuring confidentiality as required by HIPAA.
TREATMENT AND COUNSELLING:
Provide field based services as indicated
Respond to client crises and emergencies as needed
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Participates in routine clinical supervision with licensed clinician

Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
EDUCATION:
Current enrollment in Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology (or related discipline) from an accredited graduate school.
Current enrollment in practicum class at graduate school with approval to complete hours at SCADP
EXPERIENCE:

Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification by an approved accrediting organization (CCAPP, CADTP or CADEE)
Knowledge of Drug Medi-Cal and Los Angeles County services provisions

Timeline and Performance Objectives

* During the first year: Review underwriting submissions and write the basic analysis of bond applicants' financial statements, collateral, and related due diligence. Cultivate relationships with internal and external contacts to facilitate underwriting processes, promote business development, and stay current with industry trends. Find creative and analytical solutions to support branch underwriting activity. Complete the Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB) certification.
* Beyond the first year: Relocate to a branch office. Determine the degree of underwriting risk on a variety of contract and commercial surety bonds, with increasing underwriting authority over time. Expand business opportunities through customer outreach, marketing activities, participation in industry events, and other business development initiatives.

Student Psychological Services (SPS) at Loyola Marymount University is a collegial, supportive environment in which trainees refine clinical, administrative, and consultative skills. The staff works closely as a team and the trainees are regarded as important members of our SPS team.
The treatment philosophy at SPS is to provide psychotherapeutic and consultation support services for students to enhance their academic functioning and maximize their total learning and growth experience at LMU. This emphasis is consistent with the mission of the University, the resources available to Student Psychological Services, the population being served, and the availability of mental health services in the community.
Our training approach to treatment is integrative and promotes the use of interventions that are based on empirically supported treatments. We encourage trainees to think broadly about their clinical work and to draw from knowledge in developmental psychology, psychopathology, neuropsychology, multi-cultural psychology, learning theory, family systems, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, group psychotherapy and humanistic approaches.
Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Clinical training involves the evaluation, treatment, and referral of our undergraduate and graduate students. There are extensive opportunities to work with both male and female late adolescents and young adults, and, to a lesser extent, with adults of other ages.
There are rich opportunities to treat a very diverse clientele in terms of ethnicity, gender, culture, and socioeconomic background. The clientele presents with a wide range of problems including adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, major affective disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, and often present in psychological crisis.
The clinical caseload is generally 16-20 hours per week and includes intake/assessment, crisis management, and individual and group psychotherapy. It is expected that the trainees take advantage of the many opportunities to participate in campus outreach and education. The remaining hours are spent in supervision, outreach, case consultation, seminars, and chart documentation.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The 150-hour long internship will offer participants the opportunity to receive on-the-job training, professional development curriculum, and support identifying and transitioning into long-term employment. Centered around the SPY Community Garden, this internship opportunity will highlight food justice, community-building, and healing.
The first 3 months of the internship will take place at the SPY Community Garden on Venice Blvd, where interns will learn about gardening, urban farming, landscaping, cooking and more. The second 3 months of the internship will take place at a partner business of the intern's choosing, in industries like food service, landscaping, nurseries and more. Throughout the program, interns will receive one-on-one support sessions with the Intern Liaison, as well as group based professional development classes.
This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their workforce skills.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Support the SPY Garden Team in growing the SPY Garden (planting, watering, weeding, composting, harvesting, distributing).
Authentic participation in activities and discussions around garden-related topics, garden walks, and workshops.
Help plan and co-facilitate garden-related workshops for youth and community members.
Support management in tracking plant and volunteer data, as needed.
Attend SPY Garden team meetings.

About This Role
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) ensures all operations at Varda are performed safely and effectively, without harming the environment. The EHS team is responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating physical, chemical, operational, and other hazards across Varda's spacecraft and pharmaceutical development and production processes.

Responsibilities
Lead Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) across engineering, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical operations to identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and collaborate with teams to implement effective controls.
Drive safe handling of hazardous chemicals through the Hazard Communication (HazCom) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programs
Maintain environmental compliance by guiding departments in the proper accumulation and disposal of hazardous waste
Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of safety systems and equipment (e.g., emergency eyewashes and showers, fire extinguishers, fire alarm and suppression systems)
Assist with emergency preparedness and response procedures (e.g., site emergency action plan, emergency drills, first aid/CPR/AED training)
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in occupational safety & health, environmental engineering/safety, or related field
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, in a fast-paced work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory EHS standards (e.g., Cal/OSHA, Cal/EPA, RCRA, SCAQMD, DOT, CA Fire Code)
Hands-on experience with conducting risk assessments and implementing safety control measures
