We are hiring a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee to join our Seattle team. Under the close supervision of our Clinical Supervisor, you'll serve as the primary liaison with participants, guiding them through evaluations, assessments, and the development of personalized treatment plans. Your role is crucial in providing individual, group, and family counseling, as well as facilitating referrals to external resources. The schedule for this position is in-person, Monday-Friday, with flexible hours. The pay for this role is $24.80 - $30.80 per hour.
Requirements
Conducts a self-assessment of skill levels related to Substance Use Disorder Professional practice, collaborating closely with the Clinical Supervisor to strengthen identified areas and complete necessary training hours for SUDP certification.
Provides individual and group counseling services to individuals enrolled in programs at THS and/or its affiliates.
Ensures service documentation is counter-signed by a certified SUDP.
Serves as a leader or co-leader of therapy groups.
Performs intake interviews/assessments as required, providing ongoing evaluation of individuals through the collection and synthesis of bio-psychosocial information.
Develops and implements treatment plans and concurrent treatment plan reviews reflecting the participant's perspective.
Ensures prompt, accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notations, and preparation of treatment contracts, letters, referrals, and discharge summaries.
Adheres to established THS policies and procedures.
Provides advocacy, case management, information and referral services, and wrap-around services in an outpatient setting.
Serves on THS committees as assigned.
Complete THS Relias trainings, as assigned
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Current involvement as a student and/or trainee in the process of becoming a Substance Use Disorder Professional, with proof required at the time of hire.
Associate Degree in Social Services/Sciences or related field from an accredited college/university OR two years' experience in counseling, case evaluation, staffing presentations, and record keeping.
Must meet standards for qualifications as a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee per WAC and possess the SUDPT credential. Documentation of training and education necessary to meet and maintain qualified status is required, including the date of qualification as a SUDPT.
Must have knowledge and experience in chemical dependency, family dynamics, and counseling.
Able to Works effectively with diverse populations.
Able to work effectively in teams and performs well under pressure.
Be able to maintain a professional image within the community at all times.

Job Summary:
The Substance Use Disorder Professional role is part of the Behavioral Health and Counseling team that supports ETS' mission through serving as the primary care team coordinator for their assigned patients.
This role makes a critical difference at ETS by providing assigned patients with, assessment, individual and group counseling, case management and coordinate overall patient care while enrolled at Evergreen Treatment Services.
The position is full time onsite, and the days and hours are Monday through Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM. (Hours may flex to a later time depending on program needs. Any changes to work schedule is negotiated with employee's supervisor after hire.)

Job Summary:
* The?Substance Use Disorder Professional role is part of the Behavioral Health and Counseling team that supports ETS' mission through serving as the primary care team coordinator for their assigned patients.
* This role makes a critical difference at ETS by providing assigned patients with, assessment, individual and group counseling, case management and coordinate overall patient care while enrolled at Evergreen Treatment Services.
What you contribute to this role - Responsibilities:

* Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.
* Consistently implement established agency policies and treatment procedures regarding work with assigned patients.
* Provide initial assessment, individual and group counseling and case management services to assigned patients.
* Consistently maintain professional boundaries with patients and coworkers.
* Prompt, accurate completion of progress notations of all interactions with patients in assigned patient files.
* Professional preparation and prompt submission of:
* Initial assessment and treatment plan
* 90-day treatment plan
* Responses to positive urinalysis / breathalyzer results
* Administrative Taper notices
* Letters of assistances and referral for assigned patients
* Closing treatment summaries for discharged patients
* Daily activity forms
* Required state and agency recording forms (such as TARGET reports)
* Act consistently to protect the confidentiality of all patients and the integrity of professional staff communication and behavior.
* Adhere to all the confidentiality requirements and guidelines outlined in the 42 CFR, Part 2 federal regulations pertaining to chemical dependency treatment records.
* Serve as a leader or co-leader of therapy or educational groups and provide other treatment activities.
* Meet with primary supervisor for the purposes of patient clinical consultation and clinical skill development, and/or other designated supervisor staff for the purposes of reviewing patient documentation and treatment planning issues.
* Coordinate assigned patient treatment with other staff departments (such as dispensary, reception, medical and psychiatric staff).
* Participate in the Counselor of the day program
* Participate in Treatment Team meetings where they will review patient treatment progress and status, hear and act on patient appeal of administrative action and program non-compliance issues.
* May also be responsible for the observation of patient urine collection for the purpose of drug screen urinalysis when needed.
* Some local travel may be required on behalf of the agency.
For SUDP Trainee:
* Directly responsible to and supervised by their Clinical Supervisor who is a Department of Health licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) .Also supervised by the Lead Counselors, who also have SUDP license, regarding clinical skill development specified record keeping and treatment tasks.
* Participate in at least two 30-minute sessions of individual supervision per 160 hours of work with the Clinical Supervisor until they attain their Department of Health SUDP credential.
* The SUDP Trainee's initial 50 hours of direct patient service shall be completed with the direct observation and supervision of their primary supervisor or other assigned SUDP licensed members of the agency's counseling staff.

* The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes or other bio-hazardous materials when carrying out job functions. There is also potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
