Alyeska Resort tram operator job description

This is a seasonal position. Employees have the ability to discuss alternate season employment interest with the Tram Operations Manager. Wages start at $18/hour.

THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN GIRDWOOD, ALASKA.

Main Duties:

  • Properly operate the tram and related equipment, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Direct and assist passengers as needed to ensure safe and orderly traffic conditions
  • Provide various information to guests about resort services, facilities local surroundings, etc.
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of tramways/lifts safety systems, operating logs, and emergency evacuation procedures
  • Knowledge of the Mountain, Hotel and UTT Emergency Operating Plans and the ability to assist when the plans are activated
  • Positively communicate with the passengers to establish and maintain an atmosphere of confidence and security
  • Recognize potentially dangerous situations, whether mechanical or passenger, and report them to the supervisor immediately
  • Other duties as assigned

SP Plus tram operator job description

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

SCOPE OF POSITION

Responsible for the proper and safe operation of a 34-seat electric tram and trailer, transporting passengers to and from airport parking garages to terminal access, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

* Transport guests to and from the airport parking garages on a continuous basis
* Complete tram inspection at the beginning and end of each shift
* Maintain cleanliness of tram and trailer during shift
* Recharge tram
* Maintain log of guest/trip counts
* Make stop announcements
* Assist with luggage and disabled passengers as needed
* Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
