This position will need a person with a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills in order to interact with the company's customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues. This position is based in Bethlehem, PA and requires an on-site presence (not remote or hybrid). Responsibilities: Interact with customers via telephone and in-person to sell, make reservations, process payments and email documents for Trans-Bridge Tours' One-Day, Multi-Day, Casio Tours and for Trans-Bridge Lines' Pier Transportation. Interact with customers via telephone and in-person to provide bus schedules, prices, sell tickets, make reservations and process payments for Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc. Field customer questions and issues and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer's concerns. Daily cash out report for Trans-Bridge Lines and Trans-Bridge Tours. Knowledge of various computer programs. Open and/or close ticket office as needed. Maintain a clean and neat working area. Follow company policies to ensure the safety of customers and co-workers. Perform other duties as assigned and directed by management. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills with customers and co-workers including listening, being polite, helpful and courteous. Service-oriented and able to resolve customer issues/concerns. Reliable and responsible. Strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous Customer Service experience (phone and in-person) is required. Previous experience making reservations for groups or individuals is required. Travel Industry experience a plus Physical Requirements: Extended periods of sitting and standing. Collects and tracks hazards identified through various intake methods, including SEPTA's employee safety reporting program, operations reporting, public feedback, and regulatory data. 6. Evaluates hazards identified through operational activities, safety assurance findings, and system changes such as capital projects, engineering modifications, or rule changes. 7. Maintains and updates the Salesforce-based hazard log, ensuring all hazards are accurately assessed for probability/severity, documented, categorized, and prioritized for the application of appropriate controls. 8. Supports the development of corrective action plans (CAPs) for hazards classified as unacceptable, working with the responsible departments to implement effective mitigations. 9. OVERALL DESCRIPTION We are seeking to hire a Project Manager for the Trolley Modernization Program. The Project Manager position requires an extensive background in Engineering/Architecture and construction, as well as knowledge of business practices. Manages all aspects of 3rd party and in-house projects, as assigned by the Program Manager/Senior Program Manager, to ensure that project planning, design, implementation, and completion meet the requirements and needs of SEPTA and the requirements of all the agencies, governments, specialinterest groups and the general public to which SEPTA is responsible. The Project Manager must come in contact with many people at higher organizational levels, both within SEPTA and outside the Authority. His/Hercontacts include Department Managers and General Superintendents within SEPTA, as well as consultant/contractor firms' Assistant Vice Presidents,and Federal, State, City, and local government officials. He/She must possess the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner. The Project Manager will support Trolley Modernization - SEPTA's program to transform the nation's largest trolley network into an accessible, fast,and easy-to-use system. Trolley Modernization features new, accessible vehicles that hold more passengers; new on-street stations that are fullyaccessible; and infrastructure and operational improvements to make service faster and more reliable. The Project Manager will be leading the design and construction of the Route T5 Improvements Project, in addition to other projects in the program. The T5 Improvements project is under design and will include new, accessible on-street stations, passenger amenities and modernized infrastructure. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * Consults with senior management in developing on-going railway improvement programs, by formulating conceptual project plans and specifications so as to best allow for simultaneous multi-discipline improvements and conformance to applicable funding agency requirements. * Prepares budgets, schedules, program and force account plans for proposed projects. * Prepares Requests for Proposals, manages consultant contracts, and coordinates design concepts and reviews with Operations Departments. * Provides liaison with appropriate Federal, State, City and local government agencies and SEPTA to coordinate design requirements with consultant design. * May represent the Authority with Special Interest Groups or local committees, and present designs at public meetings. * Has responsibility for maintaining, forecasting, and maintaining budgets and manpower requirements. * Directs the project management team during the design construction and/or procurement stages of a project. This includes project management, construction management, and coordination with government agencies and SEPTA Operations Departments. * Monitors progress, performance of consultants and contractors. * Consults with supervision concerning unusual problems and developments on administrative and policy matters. * Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of a team of engineers/architects and construction inspectors. Estimates manpower needs and schedules, and assigns work to meet schedules. * The Project Manager applies intensive and diversified knowledge of principals and practices in broad areas of engineering and construction assignments. He/She must make decisions independently in resolving engineering problems and construction issues. He/She may act as an individual researcher on specific issues. * Responsible for the development and review of project management training and seminars within his/her discipline. * Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others. * Performs other duties as assigned/required. DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * Under the direction of the Program Manager, directs all phases of major, multiple-project, multiple contracts Capital Programs so as to complete the work within the established budget and schedule. * Establishes goals, procedures, and objectives for assigned personnel and projects including the development of resource budgets and including the scheduling, planning and organizing of the work load for subordinates. * Responsible for approval of design engineering and consultant management contracts, procedures, and design contract modifications. * Ensures that all project plans, studies and technical analyses, are complete, correct, and conform to SEPTA and industry standards. * Manages and directs the activities of the program management consultants. * Directs the preparation of final design plans and specifications. * Prepares information required to solicit construction proposals. * Evaluates construction contract bids and recommends award. * Coordinates, directs, resolves conflicts, and approves the construction-related activities of contractors, vendors and consultants. * Coordinates extensive inspection of projects to assure compliance to plans, schedules, and project budgets. In this capacity, the Project Manager is also responsible for the review and approval of changes to the project while assuring conformity with previously established goals and objectives. * Establishes design and construction criteria, standard specifications, general plans, standard plans, and management procedures to effect consistency and assure compliance with industry standards. * Consults with management at all levels on problem identification and solutions of same on issues of engineering and construction. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline and eight (8) years of progressive engineering/architectural employment experience, or an equivalent combination of engineering and project management, or related experience in construction is required. Experience in Civil Engineering, or Architecture, is preferred. * OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture, or EIT with either Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA with six (6) years responsible experience. * Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and logical reasoning skills required. * Effective coaching skills required. * Excellent computer skills required. * Must have a valid Driver's License. * PA registered Professional Engineer/Registered Architect (PE/RA) preferred. * Experience in public transit project management preferred. We are seeking candidates for the position of Rail Vehicle Electronic Technician (0843) in our City Transit Division (CTD) and Regional Railroad Division (RRD) OVERALL DESCRIPTION Maintains, troubleshoots, calibrates and repairs all rail vehicle electronic printed circuit boards and subsystems assigned to the Rail Vehicle Electronic Repair Shops. As an experienced specialist, provides technical support to all rail locations and assists SEPTA's engineering department with electrical/electronic projects. Compensation Data For City Transit Division: $41.73/ hr. Increase to $46.37/hr. after one year For Regional Railroad Division: 40.48/hr. Increase to 44.98 after one year. (Note, candidate division selection will be based on the needs of SEPTA) SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILTIES * Maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing all rail vehicle electronic printed circuit boards and subsystems assigned to the Electronic Repair Shops and to provide technical support to all rail locations and to assist SEPTA's engineering department with electrical/electronic projects. * Troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates analog, digital and micro-processor controlled printed circuit boards down to component level for the type of Rail Vehicle and equipment assigned. * Interprets electrical, electronic and mechanical schematics. * Removes and inserts semiconductor devices including through-hole and surface mount devices using soldering/de-soldering equipment. * Conducts diagnostic test using equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes, curve tracer, automatic test equipment, programmable multifunction generators, high voltage power supplies, frequency counters, chart recorders, current probes, EPROM programming systems, high potential tester, megohmmeters and computers * Performs diagnostic tests on rail vehicles with portable and on-board test equipment as required. * Operates computer-controlled Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to test and troubleshoot printed circuit boards. * Interprets and edits test software for Automated Test Equipment (ATE). * Repairs open conductors on multi layered printed circuit boards. * Repairs damaged conductors, edge connectors, and plated holes using circuit repair kits. * Tests and repairs high power semiconductor modules. * Performs failure analysis on printed circuit boards and makes recommendations to increase their reliability. * Writes procedures to test and calibrate printed circuit boards as well as on-board vehicle system/system faults with the assistance/approval of the Engineering Department. * Designs and fabricate diagnostic test equipment for printed circuit boards * Performs acceptance inspection on new printed circuit board test equipment. * Maintains and repairs automatic test equipment, test fixtures, power supplies, meters and other test equipment. * Assists Operation's Managers, Engineering Department and vendor representatives with the installation, development, commissioning and troubleshooting of new as well as existing rail equipment including operational testing on test tracks or Rail Vehicle routes. * Inspects, repairs, and calibrates the LRV power brake vital safety relay. * Provides technical support for rail vehicle electrical/electronic equipment. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of electronic technical school, associate degree in electronics or military electronics-technical training. * Must possess valid driver's license. * Special Knowledge and Training. Handling of static sensitive devices, ability to interpret electrical, electronic, software and mechanical schematics; use of soldering and de-soldering equipment; use of complex electronic measuring instruments; ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of rail vehicle propulsion systems; use of computer software to diagnose and repair rail vehicles; ability to use stereo microscopes; use of IEEE graphic symbols for logic functions; quality control standards. * Must pass written test and performance testing as required. * Must have good hand and eye dexterity to work with extremely small electronic components. * Must satisfactorily complete performance test as required by labor agreement. * Working Conditions: Rail Vehicle Electronic Technicians work primarily in the electronic repair shop and occasionally at other rail vehicle locations.
