Mr. Shuldman then went on to work for Mars Electronics International, a division of Mars Incorporated. In August 1996, he led an initial public offering (IPO) of the printer operations a division inside Tridex and was named president and CEO of TransAct, the newly formed publicly traded company in August 1996, and elected chairman of the board in Feb. 2001. TransAct Technologies Incorporated is a leader in developing and manufacturing market-specific solutions, including printers, terminals, software and other products for transaction-based and other industries. These industries include casino and gaming, restaurants, food safety, banking, point-of-sale, hospitality, oil and gas, lottery, and medical and mobile. TransAct distributes its products through OEMs, value-added resellers, selected distributors, and direct to end-users. TransAct has over two million printers installed around the world and has relationships with some of the largest companies in their respective markets.
