What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
Actuarial exam progress; ACAS/FCAS preferred.
Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills.
Experience with R, Python, SQL, SAS, or similar tools.
Knowledge of Prophet, AXIS, Emblem or similar actuarial software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex findings.

Qualifications:

Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel required; experience with Access, SQL, VBA, Python or other programming languages.

We are seeking curious, passionate, and hard-working students from quantitative academic fields to participate in our fully remote summer internship program. Essential Job Functions
Under immediate supervision, the Product Intern will work alongside professionals and mentors within the Products Organization to find smart solutions to complex problems. Interns will collaborate with their mentor and work collectively with different stakeholders across the company.
Interns will work directly with a mentor in their field of study while finding solutions to real world problems. Intern may also work with members of leadership and fellow interns within an interactive Agile framework that includes daily stand-ups and weekly tactical problem-solving sessions
Interns will also have exposure to join meetings within their respective functions to help further contextualize their work.
Over the course of the summer, interns will ultimately build a minimum viable product (MVP) and have a “capstone” opportunity to present those findings to the Mercury leadership team. Internships will begin in June 2026.

Qualifications
Education
Be legally eligible to work in the U.S
Pursuing a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in a scientific/quantitative field

Overview
NJM Insurance Group is looking for several dynamic, energetic interns who are eager to learn about our company by assisting various projects in the Actuarial department. Summary
Directs and provides leadership in the design, pricing, and implementation of insurance products.
Transamerica Life seeks a self-driven actuary for a highly visible, leadership development, non-traditional valuation role. The Special Projects team works seamlessly across all Life products (UL, IUL, VUL & Traditional Life). The successful candidate will be tasked to extensively analyze empirical data and produce quantitative forecasting. The ideal candidate must also effectively communicate findings to both actuarial and non-technical senior management, as well as suggest appropriate courses of action.

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $125,000 - $165,000 annually. Profile Responsibilities:
Partner with key stakeholders from the actuarial, finance, tax, treasury, growth and investment areas to foster a model risk aware culture across the company
Develop the infrastructure that properly enables execution of the model risk framework including templates, one-pagers, educational sessions, and process enhancements
Promptly support requests from internal and external auditors
Ensure model documentation from model owners is current and compliant with internal and regulatory standards
Ensure completion and adequacy of model validations in accordance with the models' risk ratings
Support secretarial duties of the model subcommittee
Survey the business for new models or significant model changes and integrate within the framework as appropriate
Challenge models on their accuracy, reliability, and performance through model validation
Develop challenger models or benchmarks where appropriate to test material assumptions and outputs
