Working Conditions: Must wear a Lab coat, booties and Safety glasses when working in Bacti prep room. Handles materials up to15 lbs or less frequently or up to 45 lbs infrequently. When performing pathogen (Listeria and Salmonella) testing, rubber gloves must also be worn. This is a dangerous and infectious substance. Working temperatures range from 35 to 75 degrees. Safety hazards are present when working with the autoclave (pressure of 15 lbs steam temperatures of 250 degrees Celsius).
