Safely maneuver and operate a 16'-18' box truck through residential streets and tights spaces

Transport truck driver job in Urban Honolulu, HI
Job Description
Drives refrigerated truck on established route to deliver fresh produce into customer locations. Expected to provide friendly service in making accurate and timely deliveries. Responsible for collecting payments from customers, order discrepancy reporting, customer complaint resolution and daily truck inspection and maintenance.
Essential Duties
Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Will perform pre-trip and post trip inspections on trucks and equipment.
Present bills, receipts, and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles as required.
Verify the contents on customer loads against shipping documents.
Pick-up fresh produce from locally sourced farms as needed.
Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
Language Skills
Communicating with supervisors, peers, subordinates, and customer staff.
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Effective problem solving and reasoning skills to resolve customer discrepancies and complaints with regards to deliveries.
Certification and Licensing
Must possess a valid CDL A/B Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record. * CDL Driver applicants are required to submit a copy of their Driver History Record along with their application. * Driver History Record must have been issued within the past 30 days from date of application.
Must possess a valid Medical Examiners Certificate (PUC Card).
Experienced operator of motorized pallet jacks preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to pass D.O.T. physical.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to push weighted delivery carts on all surfaces.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in temperature-controlled environments ranging from 30 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions.
Must be available to work weekends and overtime.
