Drivers must provide a current K4 DMV printout when applying (Valid 30 days from application), must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test, pass an FBI background check, and pass a physical exam. Full time positions are eligible to receive a comprehensive benefits packet that includes vacation, sick, holiday pay, medical, dental, and retirement plan.
This position will have starting times between: 12:00 pm 3:00 pm available.
This position will also receive a Health and Welfare of $4.57 per hour up to 40 hours per week ($182.50 per week or $792.13 per month). This will be used for your health insurance and/or your 401k.
Referred Employee (New Hire)
Fulltime employee - $200 paid after 3 months.
Parttime employee - $100 paid after 3 months.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Drivers are responsible for pre-inspection check on all vehicles driving; making sure all wheelchairs or any other devices are tied down properly;
2. Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe manner; must be able to communicate with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding concerns and/or issues.
3. Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS. Ideal. Company phones will be provided.
4. Candidates should be Self-Motivated and Responsible, Have Good Communication Skills, Good time Management, Positive Attitude and willing to go the extra mile.
Education &Training:
High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required. Valid CPR/First Aid card is preferred but not required.
Valid CA driver's license Class C.
Must have a drivers license for at least five (5) years. No more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.
Working Conditions:
Drivers must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Driver must be able to assist clients transferring from wheelchair to chair and vice versa.
Work schedule:
Work hours will vary Monday-Friday and include occasional Saturdays and Sundays. Driver must be able to work extra hours and on weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
1. Driver must be able to pass the physical exam at our local doctor's office (Same day appointment) 2. Lift up to 100 LBS and
3. Push and Pull up to 200 LBS.
4. Must be able to bend from the waist, pivot from waist, and be able to move from a standing position to kneeling position and back to standing.
