Each Van Driver is responsible for maintaining transportation of children from school to the afterschool program. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities: Effective interaction and communication with a wide range of internal staff and outside entities. Transport children from school to the afterschool program. Routine upkeep of YMCA vehicles; including but not limited to refueling, basic operational checks, and maintaining interior cleanliness. Communicate clearly with YMCA Site Coordinators/Directors and Program Administrators to facilitate timely pick-ups and drop-offs and to manage children in the vehicle. Maintain program attendance after driving duties are completed. Sign in/out program participants and greet families entering Y facility. What you will do The driver is responsible for picking program participants up at their home and dropping them off at the program location in Wakefield. You will get to know some great individuals as you help them to start and end their day. The pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.
