We are looking for full time and part time drivers in the Tulsa area to pick up and deliver packages to residential and business addresses in the area. You will be required to drive your own vehicle to complete the daily route. Drivers will be independent contractors. This is a day shift position Monday through Friday.
Drivers should be highly energetic, competent, and self-motivated individuals with a good sense of direction and excellent customer service skills. Punctuality, reliability, and delivery experience are required. This position will also require understanding and use of handheld devices to assist with each delivery and must own a working smartphone.
Applicants should be capable of lifting to fifty pounds without assistance. We prefer applicants with verifiable work history with FedEx, UPS, or other parcel delivery services but all applicants will be considered. Route length also varies, but you can expect your workday to be 7-10 hours on average.
Driver Requirements:
Must possess valid driver's license.
Minimum age: 21
Must have a reliable vehicle, some routes require a larger vehicle such as a cargo/sprinter, or a large SUV, and box truck.
No DUI/DWI within five previous years
Must pass a drug screening
Pass a background verification
Must be able to drive Mon-Fri. Routes are expected to be completed by 7pm.
Able to do pickups between 430pm and 7pm on a weekly rotational basis.

Job Responsibilities
+ Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
+ Check shipping papers to determine if the load complies with all required regulations.

+ Frequently carry freight weighing up to 110 lbs. of varying size and shape up to a distance of 53feet.
+ Spend up to 50% of the day standing and/or walking on surfaces such as concrete, wood, or metal.
+ Hook/unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, manually lower and raise landing gear, operate the fifth wheel release lever, and open and close the cargo door.

Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Must be licensed in the State of Oklahoma and be, at least, 18 years of age with no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no DUIs/DWIs.
Licensing: Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and Airbrake endorsements. MetroLink Tulsa provides CDL training for qualified candidates.
Flexibility: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays). This role requires flexibility with work hours, as assignments may include split shifts and working up to 10-hour days.

Position: Substitute Bus Driver - District Employee Assigned to Claremore Campus
Non-Exempt, Support, Substitute, 10-month Staff

Primary
Function: Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Being responsible for driving a bus and ensuring the safe transporting of high school students to and from the campus. The bus route position is from Northeast Technology Center to Partner High Schools and back to Northeast Tech up to three times per day, or as directed by Campus Administrator.

Qualifications
Experience: Must possess a current valid Oklahoma School Bus Driving Certificate and a school bus/commercial driver's license; air brake endorsement preferred; pass a national criminal background check with fingerprints and pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening prior to start of employment; have good communication skills, have the ability to give and receive instructions, get along with others, and demonstrate good attendance and punctuality in the workplace; have the physical ability to lift in excess of 40 pounds; be a self-starter and be able to work well without direct supervision, get along well with high school students and possess good people skills. TITLE: SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER
Hours:
Monday through Friday, hours will be intermittent with hours accumulating to approximately 1 to 4 hours/day depending upon the assigned bus route. Supervisor retains the right to adjust the work schedule and job description/duties based on the needs of the district.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with the policies and procedures of the school district and be on duty at assigned times.
Comply with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding student transportation.
Safely transport students between Northeast Technology Center and Partner High Schools up to three times per day, or as directed following the schedule set by the supervisor.
Perform daily bus inspections (pre-trip and post-trip), following state guidelines.
Maintain order while in transit.
Cleaning and upkeep of bus.
Conduct bus evacuation drills as required by State Law.
Regular attendance following a designated work schedule. Must be able to work scheduled and extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities.
Any other bus and/or route-related duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Superintendent.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Must successfully complete a school bus driver course and hold a current valid Oklahoma School Bus Driver's Certificate as required by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and a valid current Commercial Driver's License, air brake endorsement preferred, from the State of Oklahoma.
Annual health certificate signed by a physician licensed in Oklahoma attesting that the physician has examined the driver and that the driver has no sign or symptoms of ill health, and is otherwise, from the observation of such physician, physically and mentally capable of safely operating a school bus.
Subject to regular random drug/alcohol/DOT physical testing as well as post-accident testing when federal or state law, or board policy requires.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
Cannot be related to any of the currently seated school board members within the second degree of affinity or consanguinity.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The role may use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Moderate physical effort is required for example: Assisting students on and off the bus if needed, pre-and post-trip inspections, cleaning the bus, and using required procedures to operate the bus safely.
