DAY-TO-DAY AS A PAINTER

In this fast-paced role, you'll paint single-stage, metallic, and base/clear finishes on a variety of truck utility bodies, platforms, dump trucks, and chassis. You'll repair any body damage, sand, and verify equipment has been properly prepped prior to painting. This position requires attention to detail to meet production standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

**3rd Shift Position**

**Job Summary**

The equipment painter position will be responsible for appropriately applying paint to all finished parts requiring paint. All Painter positions will be expected to recognize, understand, and preform to Morbark paint standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using automated paint mixing equipment

+ Make sure all equipment is cleaned and properly prepped before painting

+ Read and understand formulas and follow written and verbal directions

+ Complete startup and shut down process on the paint line

+ Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain painting application equipment

+ Follow departmental objectives, standards or directions

+ Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment

+ Adheres to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines

+ Follows company policies and procedures.

**Education and Experience Requirements:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent is required

+ Urethane or automotive experience

+ Two (2) to three (3) years of paint line experience

+ Ability to handle both basic math and print reading

+ Ability to use a tape measure

+ Ability to measure and mix paint

**Physical Requirements**

+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds from floor to chest to high shelving.
