Aviation transportation security officer job description
Enjoy a starting pay rate of $19.50 per hour, which will increase to $20.25 after one year with us. Hourly wages don't matter if you don't get hours to work! Regardless of the time of year, we guarantee a minimum of 40 hours/week for full time and 30 hours/week for part time - 52 weeks/year. Duties & Responsibilities:
ASM Operates under contract to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at privatized airports nationwide. As members of the TSA Screening Partnership Program, we provide screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo to identify and prevent dangerous objects from being transported onto aircraft.
Qualifications:
You must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be proficient in English
- Have a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent
- Preference will be given to individuals who have at least one year of full-time work experience in the security or intelligence industry or as an X-ray technician.
- Pass a computerized assessment that confirms your proficiency in English and potential ability to interpret X-rays
- Pass a medical evaluation which includes tests of vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam
- Pass ASM and TSA background and financial records checks employment.
- Pass pre-employment and random post-employment drug tests
- Be available to work any day of the week (Monday-Sunday), any shift (1200AM-1159PM)

All training and training costs are provided by ASM.

What you will do
We are hiring an energetic and flexible Transport Security Officer Part-Time to join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The Transport Security Officer will be responsible for the direct transportation of currency/product between production facility and dispensary. This position will report directly to the Transportation Supervisor.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Assisting in Training new transportation security employees
- Transportation Security Officers directly report to Transportation Security Supervisor.
- Conducting weekly transportation of company product, currency, and waste materials.
- Ensuring transport paperwork is accurate per state regulations and vireo procedures before each departure and upon return to manufacturing facility
- Conducting weekly security log reviews
- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and cleaned daily.
- Responding to emergency calls as needed
- In-state travel may be required on a daily basis as part of work duties in company provided vehicles. All travel will be completed during work hours and duties.
- Uploading needed documents to QT9 based on state regulations.
- Emergency response to incidents as needed
- Ensuring transportation team follows both vireo procedures and state regulations
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be fluent in English with the ability to read and understand printed regulations, written orders and instructions;
- Excellent written/oral communication skills are required;
- Must be able to maintain poise and self-control under stress;
- Capable of performing all normal emergency security duties and responsibilities.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record. No suspensions or alcohol related charges within last 7 year
$17/hr.
