Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

In this key role, the Transporter moves patients in wheelchairs and stretchers from the Emergency Department to Cat Scan and vice versa.

Schedule: Rotation of days 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Additional requirements :

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire.
    • Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.

The Patient Transporter at Northwest Medical Center facilitates the efficient functioning of the patient care unit by performing transportation of patients, supplies, specimen and medication distribution.

Transports patients to and from their inpatient beds and other areas like therapy, surgery or radiology. Other responsibilities include retrieving medical records, lab results, supplies and medications.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule of availability to work shifts as needed by the department.
